Chapter 03 The First Day of My New Life

kore ga watashi no nozonda "kokoro"?" I continued to draw as I sung

"fushigi Kokoro Kokoro Fushigi

watashi wa shitta yorokobu koto o

watashi wa shitta kanashimu koto o

fushigi kokoro kokoro mugen

nande fukaku setsunai... aaaahhh~" I moved my head with the song

"ima kizuki hajimeta umareta riyuu o

kitto hitori wa sabishii

sou, ano hi, ano toki

subete no kioku ni yadoru "kokoro" ga afuredasu

ima ieru hontou no kotoba

sasageru anata ni" I slowed my hand movement as the song slowed

"arigatou... kono yo ni watashi o unde kurete

arigatou... isshoni sugoseta hibi o

arigatou... anata ga watashi ni kureta subete

arigatou... eien ni utau" As soon as the song finished I felt something wet roll down the left side of my face, I realized that was crying which made me laugh slightly, sometimes I unexpectedly start to tear up at random when I'm listening to certain songs.  

After a couple of songs I noticed that it was pretty close to 7:00 am meaning I should start to head over to the cafeteria, I turned off my music, slipped the sketchbook back into my bag, slung my bag around my left shoulder, grabbed my headphones and put them around my neck, put my phone in my back pocket of my jeans and walked out my door, heading to the stairwell and out the door.

Once I made my way to the cafeteria I saw that it was fairly quiet but that could be from the fact that it had only just turned seven and I think most people were still in the dorms or something, I walked over to the Lunch Lady or Rosa with a tray. I walked along grabbing a bowl of cereal along with a glass of juice before walking over to a table I gave a quick "thank you" to Rosa, I ate quietly humming a random song I came up with.

Timeskip

I was nervous about the upcoming class and how the other students would react, I was standing not to far from the outside of the classroom of Mrs Hertz fidgeting with my choker and fingers when I heard footsteps coming towards me, I turned around seeing that it was only Jeremie, Ulrich and Odd walking to class,

"Hey Kai, whatcha doing out here?" Odd asked, waving at me,

"Oh hey guys" I said waving back,

"I'm just nervously standing here that's all ha" I added,

"First day nerves?" Ulrich asked,

"*Sign* Yea, I guess you could say that" I said giving them a slight smile,

"Well don't worry Mrs Hertz's class it's so bad plus if you do good she'll not so bad" Jeremie stated,

"That's what you say Einstein, but science isn't really my strongest subject" I stated not realizing what I said until I saw the boys just looked at me,

"What?" I asked cocking my head to one side,

"How did you know that nickname Kai" Jeremie asked, I realizing that I wasn't meant to know that the others somethings call him that but I quickly came up with a lie that I hoped they would buy,
