Joeys P.O.V.

Oh god, I haven't seen her hair that short since I was 4.

*flashback*

Me and Sam were just starting our stable boy duty at the castle. Since we were young, they gave us the work of feeding and brushing the horses.

I was looking out the door when I saw a little head poke out of the doorway.

"Hi. What's your name?"

She didn't answer for a minute, then said "Phoebe. What's yours?"

"Joey," I pointed to myself, "Sam."

"Oh. Do you work here?" she asked

"Yup. Do you?"

She looked scared, then said "Yes. I work very closely to the princess."

And with that, she turned and left.

*end of flashback*

We reached the border of our land and the forest. Phoebe pulled out a scarf, wrapped it around herself leaving only her eyes and nose out, and pulled the hood over her head. Sam and I did the same, well the pulling the hood over our head part.

"Follow me. I know someone who wil hide us tonight."

And with that she turned the horse around, and galloped up a long drive.
