Hurts like hell!

Maya's POV
We reached New York in one hour, me and Lucas did not talk at all, in fact I didn't talk to anyone. I kept on reading the novel (mark of Athena) I had brought with me. Even tho rick is so interesting I wasn't paying attention to it, I kept on getting distracted by Riley's giggles who laughed at every pathetic joke Lucas made. Also I swore I won't cry for a boy again. If Riley wants to go all giggly and happy at everything he does, she can! But I ain't doing it no more. I will stay strong and might just concentrate on my studies and shit.
Slowly as the bus lurched to a stop, I grabbed my rucksack and ignoring Farkle saying something I walked out of the bus and straight to Shawn and Katy who were standing next to our new car (Shawn got it)
"Hey guys." I smiled hugely seeing the only two people who actually care about me.
I mean look at Farkle- he obviously cared about Riley's feelings more than mine, then look at Lucas who kept asking Riley what were they in the campfire when Riley told him I like him and look at Cory and Topanga, they obviously know how sad I am but will they do anything? No. No. And No. because Riley is their daughter and they care about her more
The only people who care about me are- Shawn, Mom, and Zay of course.
"Hello baby girl!" My mom exclaimed pulling me into a hug
"Hey kiddo!" Shawn said and hugged both of us together
"Peaches!" Came a goofey voice from behind, I rolled my eyes deeply before turning around to see Riley
"Yes honey?" I said
"We are going to the Topanga's! Wanna come?" Riley asked giggling as she clinged to Lucas's arm
"No. I gotta spend time with....uh....uh...shawn!" I finally decided
Riley frowned.
"I'll come with ya!" Said a new voice. Zay. I was glad, he is nice and awesome to be with
"Okay then, let's goo!" Shawn exclaimed
We headed towards our car, me without giving Riley and Lucas another look.
"Hey maya, can I come too?" Another familiar voice, josh. I laughed loudly and nodded gesturing towards our car.
Me, josh and zay sat in the backseat while mom and Shawn in the front seats.
"So kiddo...where do you want to go? Don't you wanna go home and get to eat or something?" Shawn asked
"No, we will prefer the Diana park." I said firmly, I mean a roller coaster would definitely help me right now
Shawn nodded and turned left towards the park.
It took us five minutes to reach and Shawn gave me some money to eat and ride the rides, I took it and me, zay, and josh walked towards the ticket counter.
We took our tickets and walked inside towards the first adventure:
The Maze!
I walked up to the lady sitting there, she was stout with soft brown chipped hair.
"Hello? Um...three for the maze." I said nicely
"You sure you want to?" The lady smiled sweetly
"What do you mean?" I asked
"See, you will have to enter through different doors and the maze is huge so you will have to find your own way out and if you don't sit that in two hours we'll come to get you but it's absolutely scary." The lady shuddered
"Anything to get my mind off rucas." I mumbled to myself
"Yes three tickets." I grinned
"Okay. Best of luck." The lady beamed and handed me three tickets
I nodded at her and went for the first gate while zay went for the second and josh went for the eighth.
I stepped inside and ran. Why? Cause I wanted to get out of the sight of the world asap.
And so I did. I ran. I ran and finally panting I came to a stop, grey walls around me, it was safe duh but I still felt tiny but scared.
Walking ahead, actually running I smashed into someone.
"Owe!" I howled in pain
"Sorry maya!" The gentle voice replied, i looked up to see josh
He crouched next to me helping me press the wound on my head
"It hurt?" He asked slowly blowing hot hair over it which made me blush like heck
"A little." I croaked
"Sorry."he whispered and pulled me closer
"Sorry maya." He sighed
"For what?" I question
"For telling you that sacrificing for Riley was good, for letting you let go of your first lo—!" But he didn't complete, he was stopped by my lips on his. It was a hollow kiss but supple and nice. Somewhere filling some void yet Hollow on the outside
"Thanks! I can help riley, that's all I needed."!I said as he hugged me
"I like you maya." He whispered
I nodded
"Will you come to a party with me?" He asked
"Of course!" I replied
"About time you two!" Said a voice. Zay. My bestie! The only one who cares!
"Hey zay!" I said happily
"I am so happy to have you josh at least she gets her mind of pretty boy Lucas. No hard feelings there." Zay winked and after that we found our way back together.
The party is tomorrow I slumped on the bed choosing my outfit I drifted to peaceful sleep.
