Saturday. 2 weeks after I technically proposed to her, still no answer. I'm getting worried but my heart says otherwise. It was the day of our charity event for the cancer warriors sponsored by our team. There's something about this day na hindi ko maexplain.
'Good morning!' Sarah said and gave me a platter of full breakfast. Bacon and eggs, fried rice, toasted bread.
'Good morning, babe. Ang ganda ata ngayon ng gising mo ah. Anong meron?' I said and sat at one of the high chairs.
'Spoon and fork.' And handed me a spoon and fork. 'Kain na!'
I gave her a confusing look. 'Maglalayas ka na ba? Pag-uwi ko ba mamaya, wala ka na dito? Iiwanan mo na kami ni Cobbe?' I joked.
'Ay hindi ko naisip yan! Pero pwede!' And then she laughed, no laugh was an understatement.. halakhak ang ginawa nya.
'Babe! Joke lang yun!'
'Eh joke lang din. Hehe! Ikaw naman. Minsan na lang kita naasikaso ng ganto. Tapos bibigyan mo pa ng meaning. O sige wag na. Di na kita ipaghahanda bukas!' She threw the towel at the sink and attempted to walked out but I caught her with my arms.
I hugged her from behind and whispered.. 'Babe naman.. Gusto ko nga to eh.. Sinasanay mo na ba ko? Is this your way of saying 'yes'?'
'Hindi ah! Chosero ka.' She then faced me. 'When I say yes..' She smiled. 'You'll see..' She then walked out of the door.
'When she said yes..' I whispered to myself. 'Babe!' I shouted. 'Thank you sa breakfast!'
'Kumain ka na! Kailangan mo yan today!' She shouted back from the sala.
Well today is a big game.
I dropped her and Cobbe sa shop before going to the game.
'Sige na. Baka ma-late ka pa.' She said and pushing me towards the door.
'Babe naman. Kanina ko pa napapansin yan. Di ko alam kung may masama ka bang balak.' I slightly scratched my head.
'Wala noh! Ikaw talaga Gerald.'
'Tignan mo Gerald! Gerald na ang tawag mo saken!' I pointed at her in a panic voice.
'Ge. Okay na? Ge wala. Ikaw talaga. Kailan ka pa naging paranoid?'
'Since naging ganyan ka. Kinakabahan ako sayo babe eh. Wag na lang kaya ako maglaro.' I put down my bag and sat down at one of the coaches. 'Dito na lang ako, babantayan ko kayo ni Cobbe.'
'Ay Ge! Wag! Maglaro ka!' She said in her panic voice. 'Sige ka matatalo yung team nyo!'
I stood up and faced her. 'Promise di ka lalayas?'
'Promise.' She said and smiled.
'Promise makikita pa kita after?
'Promise.'
'Promise andito ka pa pag sinundo kita?' She giggled. 'Tignan mo! Babe naman eh. Dito lang talaga ako!' Bago pa man ako makaupo ay pinigilan nya na ko.
'Ang kulit mo naman Ge eh. Magagalit na ko talaga!'
'Eh kase naman ikaw eh.'
She cupped my face with both hands. 'Ang kulit naman ng manliligaw ko. Huwag kang mag-aalala. Di ako mawawala. Ok?' She smiled.
