A loud ringing in my ears forced me to open my eyes, letting out a frustrated groan when I recognised my surroundings. Encircled by complete white, I stood alone, unable to feel anything.
I shuddered, sensing someones presence near me. I turned round swiftly, feeling them behind me.
A glowing tangerine figure hovered a few feet in front of me, motionless.
"What do you want?" I said in a brave voice, not wanting them to see my growing panic.
"I've come to warn you" He said in a familiar smooth voice. He was here last time, with the girl who hurt me.
"I'm not going to hurt you." He said noticing my unconscious steps away from him.
"Are you Eneco?" I asked remembering what the girl had called him.
"Yes." He paused, making me more anxious to get out of this hell hole and back into reality.
"You cannot go back." he said suddenly.
"Back where?" He paused again, as his he kept drifting in and out of consciousness, never entirely here.
"The city is not safe. Especially for you. Stay away." He spoke in detached sentences, like he had to have a break every time.
"Why. Why is it not safe for me?" I pressed when he went silent again.
"I don't have a lot of time." He said, suddenly right in front of me making me jump.
"What's going to happen to me if I go?" I asked again but he ignored me, grabbing me by the arms.
"Don't come back." was all he said before it all went black.

I woke with a jolt, my heart pounding and my head rushing. I sat up quickly, panting trying to catch my breath. I was sweating and I was ridiculously hot.
I looked down to see Aspen still sleeping soundly beside me, undisturbed by my heavy breathing.
My mind raced as I thought about the dream.
Was it even a dream?
It seemed so real and vivid. Nothing like my usual nightmares, where I couldn't control my actions. I never seemed to be able to stop myself walking into that damned room every time, and always waking in a cold sweat because of it. I shuddered just at the thought of the horrid place.
I rubbed my face with my hands as I tried to process what Eneco had said.
"The city is not safe. Especially for you. Stay away."
I knew that the city wasn't safe, but what made it so much worse for me? Was it because I was my I was the daughter of one of the chairmen, or was it something completely different?
I tried to take back control of my heavy breaths not wanting to wake Aspen, once again because I was having some ridiculous nightmare.
I ran a hand through my hair, shaking my head slightly. It was only a dream. Of course it was only a dream, what was I thinking.
I was just about to go back to sleep when I saw a shadow move underneath the door, where the light shone through from the corridor.
I was going to brush it off just as someone walked past, but then the shadow walked past again. And then again.
