oh, flaming sword,
oh, cherubim-
protect my Eden,
for my cursed love has
shared with me
your forbidden fruit
and I must go,
but I swear
I will return
someday.
the serpent dragged
my love and I to Earth,
and I must stay and
keep them company
until the day's end.
from dust I came,
and to dust
I shall return;
but Eden will always
be my home.
oh, flaming sword,
oh, cherubim-
protect my Eden
until I return
with my love,
free at last
from the serpent's
restrictive hold.
