Pearl Tears

We staggered into the hellstorm crying,

Trying to erase the sight of everyone dying,

Oh God, I am so tired.

We ran from the storm as it was hailing,

I ran on with you and God, you were wailing.

From your eyes sprang tears of Pearls.

We kept on running, everybody was bleeding,

Trailing blood behind us, the snow in front misleading,

And still your tears kept coming.

Mother most likely was at home praying,

For the boy with fast legs and the girl crying,

For his will of Diamonds and her tears of Pearls.

Together we ran on, hand in hand,

heart in heart and with no time to tend,

the bleeding of our bodies nor your tears.

The storm was after us, and yet we will run,

if nothing else but to avoid being another one,

the dead among the snow and blood.

*Still a work in progress*
