"A little?!" The girl gawked at the sight of the raging thunder booming outside, and I tried to keep in my grin-She was too cute! "You're really short." She turns to face me angrily and I give her a mischievous smirk. "And what is that supposed to mean?" She sputtered out as her small chubby face began to get more and more red after every passing second. I howled out a laugh that echoed through the cave, and the girl blushed furiously, I'm guessing out of embarrassment.

I ignored her unhappy attitude towards me, and I lied down on the floor to get some rest. Unfortunately for me, she started pestering me as I slept throughout the entire night, it was blurry to think about it, but I remember she was scared of the thunder and wanted me to stay awake to keep her company. Of course, I didn't move a muscle and I fell asleep after muttering a:"Good night."

*XXXX POV*

When the insignificant boy fell asleep, I heard him mutter something under his breath and left me alone to suffer the horrible storm.

Being the innocent one out of us two, I jumped off of the bar and slowed my pace when I got to the boy who was just laying there, his eyes closed. His breathing sounded slightly irregular, but I suppose it wasn't that irregular to say he was in the middle of a nightmare. I got down to the floor of the cage and lied my back against the cold bars. Before I knew it, I felt a hand take mine and I fell asleep soundly.

---.-.-.-.-.-.---

I woke up again, and felt nothing in my hand anymore, so I quickly got up and checked around the cave for the boy. To my surprise and misfortune, he left early. I started to get all hyper, and my own breathing became irregular, cold sweat latching onto my forehead. I hyperventilated so fast that my breathing had the pitch that could almost break glass.

"Boo!" I turned around to see the boy upside down laying on the zinc bar to support his weight, and my heart jumped so high at the same time. My breathing got more normal as every second passed, and my eyebrows glared at him. "That was not nice!" After I punched him in the shoulder he started to laugh like an idiot. "It's not funny either!" His laughter died down after a while and my anger vanished completely.

The blonde whined a bit when I stared at him neutrally, "I thought you were angry?" My face remained the same as I chuckled in a monotone manner. "I was, but I can let things go easily, I guess-How did you get into the cage?" The boy pointed towards the open cage door slowly, and started walking to it. "I just broke into it so that you couldn't feel lonely." My face started to heat up by his words, and I stuttered, "Th-That's nice of you, then."

"Where are you going?" I asked the boy as he jumped out of the cage with ease and started walking towards the end of the cave. "Well since you're awake now, and the storm is over, I'm gonna head back out." My heart sank into the bottomless pit of my own stomach.

"Oh." I said, and the boys ears perked up when he heard the slight sadness in my delicate voice.

"What are you doing?" He asked when he turned around to face me.

"I don't know, what do you want me to do?" I shrugged helplessly when he came walking back to the door of the cage, exactly where I was.

"I want you to come with me." The boy smiled kindly at me, and my heart came rising back up. "I'm Meliodas, by the way." He said, bringing his hand out so he could shake my own, I assumed.

When I brought my hand to him, telling him my name, he pulled me out of the cage and threw me into his arms, cradling me bridal style. "Well, (Y/N), I can only hope we get along, yeah?" And before I knew it, Meliodas ran off out of the cave with me staring at the beautiful field which is covered with flowers of all kinds.

Jeez, this boy...

It felt like it was magic meeting him.

-----------------------------------------

She was crying.

She didn't care who saw her and judged her with their eyes.

She was crying.

Crying because of all the people that tortured her friends and family.

Oh how silly and naïve she was to think she deserved a great life.

She was naïve towards love, him in general.

No, definitely not the boy she met back when she still had a family.

The boy who set her free from their cage.

The boy she was never meant to be with, the one that destiny pried her away from.

The boy she fell in love with at first sight.

"Meliodas"
