Amy's Pov
I opened my eyes, realizing I had fallen asleep while pondering the case. I rubbed my eyes as Grace towered above my still body.
She nodded towards the door, indicating we have to leave. We all got situated and reached the front desk, eventually checking out after a long talk with the elderly woman hosting the motel.

We sat silently in the car that drove us slowly towards our destination. "We have documents to pick up at the station before we head to the crime scene." Grace stated, almost sounding apathetic. As though she had been through this a thousand times, as though examining corpses was just a part of everyday life.
I know she does this a lot but you should still have some sort of uneasiness about examining corpses and crime scenes. She sounds...dead. As if she's never experienced anything besides apathy.
I looked in the rearview mirror, examining her eyes. They were glassy and lifeless, and seemed almost...cold.

We arrived at the station and walked inside. I examined Grace's smooth movements. They seemed almost robotic. I focused on the building once again or more importantly the documents scattered inside.
I stepped inside the station and examined the room. The whole place smelled like rotting meat. As if someone accidently left a body here instead of the morgue.
