Sora: You have another chance Hiro, don't ruin this because you're messed up, if you let this chance slip away you will mess up Ayuko forever and she will become you Hiro, when you look at your daughter, do you WANT TO SEE YOURSELF!

Hiro: Of course I don't, but Sora...

Sora: Don't but me that's a gateway to more excuses, be real with yourself

Hiro: Be real (He laughs) Fuck you, you little bastard. (He walks back inside and heads to Ayuko's room.)

Ayuko: Oh...hey dad, I thought you left

Hiro: Nah I was just smoking (He looks at the ground and turns his feet inwards)

Ayuko: Oh..what have I told you about smoking about fags (laughs)

Hiro: (He smiles) They burn your insides worse than pure gasoline

Ayuko: again

Hiro: I'll quit soon (He laughs while studying the room) I'm not a good liar, am I?

Everyone: No you're not! (laughs)

Hiro: (He pulls out the pack and tosses them next to a vase full of flowers.) I guess so... Ayuko, I wish I could have been less of a broken record when you were little, that I could have actually stood up for myself and been your parent even though I was really still a teenager or maybe not... who BLOODY KNOWS? I promise you'll make it out of this, just...

Ayuko: (a single tear falls down her face before a couple more fell) (she started pulling the patches and wires off and out of her skin making sirens go off. She sat up and hopped off the bed to go over to Hiro but she fell in the process)

Hiro: (He quickly grabbed for her and placed her back on the bed. He hugged her snugly while trying not to hurt her. Her bones had been exposed from under her flesh. Her body was smaller than he remembered.) Are you okay?

Ayuko: (The tears wouldn't stop flowing and she kept crying holding on tight to Hiro with all her strength) I LOVE-YOU SO-MUCH (she said between sobs)

Hiro: (He felt warm tears rush down his face) I love you too baby girl (He laughs) Well, you're not a baby anymore... (He holds her a little tighter)

Ayuko: (laughs) yea (wipes her face and pulls out of the hug and looks at Hiro) Thanks dad (smiles a big bright smile)

Nurse: Hello, I came to see why Ayuko's alarms had- oh honey, lay down and I'll fix your IV.

Ayuko: (sticks her tongue out at the nurse) Couldn't have given us a couple more minutes jeez (she lays back down)

Nurse: Sorry honey (The nurse redoes the patches and fixes the IV.) You'll be able to go home in a few days.

Ayuko: ok sure...

Hiro: I'll try my best to make sure you'll be out before the party

Ayuko: What party

Hiro: The one we are throwing for you

Ayuko: Oh, why are you guys...

Hiro: Akio could have killed you there

Ayuko: I know so why are you throwing me a party

Hiro: Sky idea, it's like a welcome home sort of deal

Ayuko: oh well I look forward to it (smiles)

Hiro: Sure about that? (He laughs)

Ayuko: Yes I will be a good girl

(Sora walks in)

Sora: I'm so happy your better

Hiro: Want me to leave you guys alone?
