Perfectly Arranged 《NALU》

◇Prologue◇

Currently in the Dragneel Residence...

A blonde haired woman cradled a sleeping pink haired baby in her arms.The baby snuggled closer to the woman's chest and smiled peacefully. The woman smiled and stroked the baby's head lovingly. Another woman with dark blue hair came in the room and walked to the two while peeking at his son.

"Grandine-san , Natsu is so cute while he's sleeping ! I'm sure he'll grow up to be a very good looking man ! I can't wait!" she said in an excited hushed tone to make sure she won't wake the baby in her arms.

" I know right ! You haven't seen him yet when he's awake and all bubbly.It's too cute !" Grandine replied" " Ne , Layla-san when is little Lucy gonna come out?"

" Probably in a month, I'm happy at the same time afraid. I heard a lot of stories that the pain is gonna be hellish and the child birth videos traumatized me." Layla shivered at the memory. She felt her arms start to wear out and gently placed the baby in its crib and tucked it in.

" Not to scare you but I'm not going to contradict that." Grandine grinned and pointed towards the door.
Layla understood the gesture and followed along.
The two ladies silently left the room and walked to the living room to chat.
"Layla! I have a great idea and I have a feeling you'll like it." Grandine said excitingly with stars in her eyes.

"What is it? You seem very excited." Layla asked , pretty creeped out at her friend's sudden outburst.

" I want my Natsu and little Lucy to end up together ! It's gonna be wonderful. What do you think? " Grandine replied while fan girling.

"That wouldn't be so bad. But what if they don't like each other when they grow up?" Layla said deep in thought while rubbing her stomach.

" We get along really well and I bet they will too but if that does happen. We have to give them a little push to make it happen then." Grandine said eagerly.

" What type of push will make sure that they do end up together." Layla said curiously.

Grandine and Layla spaced out a few moments and rubbed their chins while thinking deeply. They both stopped, looked at each other and exclaimed at the same time.

" An arranged marriage !!! "

The two women entwined their hands together in excitement.
" We gotta tell our husbands about this ! " Layla said enthusiastically. Grandine nodded her head fast in agreement.

The pair hand in hand strode in Igneel's study where they found their two husbands engaged in  conversation. Their wives told them about the idea and persuaded them. The two men thought for a while and came to an agreement then shook hands.

And that my friends is how and when two people's fates were sealed.

A month later Layla gave birth to a pretty blonde baby girl.The mother lay asleep in the hospital bed to rest. Jude stood next to her bed while cradling his daughter " Hey Lucy , I'm your papa. Nice to meet you. Me and mama are gonna take good care of you and love you with all our heart forever." Jude said lovingly at his daughter.

His moment was interrupted when a soft knock was heard. The door opened and then came in the Dragneels. Grandine walked in while carrying a three month old Natsu. Igneel came in with flowers then waved at Jude as to say hello. Layla stirred in her sleep and awoke to the sound of their visitors.
" Sorry we woke you up , Layla-san.We came as soon as we heard." Grandine said apologetically.

" No problem I want to hold Lucy too anyways so it's okay " Layla gestured her husband to give Lucy to her much to his dismay but still complied.

"Her name's Lucy right? Such a cute name it suits her." Igneel stated while looking at the baby in Layla's arms.

Grandine carried Natsu and got him near enough to Lucy. She held Natsu's right arm and made it wave to Lucy. " Hi Lucy , I'm Natsu I hope we'll be very good friends in the future. Love you." Grandine said while making her voice a little manly to make her act more credible. Layla and Igneel laughed at her friend's and wife's silliness but Jude was slightly annoyed " I can't watch my newborn baby get picked up like that ! " Jude said laughingly annoyed.

The two couples laughed but were stopped in their tracks when they see baby Lucy reach onto Baby Natsu's hand and hold his index finger. They all awwed at the cute scene , before the two seperated their cute hold. Grandine took a pic for safe keeping.

" Omg Layla our ship is so gonna happen ! " Grandine said happily trying to stop herself from squealing.

" They are so going to sail ! I can't wait! " Layla replied while wriggling her toes in happiness.

The two friends started to chat away while their husbands sweat dropped at their wives' weirdness.

They bid their farewells and the two families parted ways since the other has business to attend to and must go right away.

...

Annually the two families had their meetings but the ones who are only present were always the parents since it's their " secret meetings " but soon it's gonna change.
