He looked at me, and I was struck by how beautiful he was. He had long dark lashes that weren't feminine, per se, but were luxurious and thick, the same color as eyes. His eyes. One could get lost in them if they weren't careful.

He was a prince. And he is supposed to fall in love with her. She's the one he was meant to be with. I knew that very well. Yet, my heart couldn't seem to listen.
Snowflakes begin to fall as the sky turns velvet black. You're not a part of that world, Arabella, I tell myself. You're not a part of his world.
I suppose this is what heartbreak feels like. I have heard the saying "if you really love them, let them go". Letting go is probably the hardest thing one can do, and it's excruciating as I feel a tear slide slowly down my cheek.
