Jakes POV
"JAKE WAKE UP, GET READY FOR SCHOOL, YOU ARE GONNA BE LATE"
"Geez mom calm down, it's not like I haven't been late before. I will get ready, just get out."
I don't like being woken up like that ever, it's so annoying when she does it every single day for school. Alarms aren't any better.
I get to school and all I see are Cheerleaders and Jocks making out by the lockers, literally so disgusting. I walk to find my friends in the cafeteria. I get a wave from Sydney from across the room. I walk over and see a really cute boy sitting next to her.
"Hey Syd, who's this?"
"Oh he's new here, his name is Alex!"
"He's really cute" I whisper in her ear.
"Yeah I know, he told me he was gay so you guys can get to know each other" Syd said secretively.
"Ok lets meet at the cafe around 4:00 after school, Izy are you coming?"
"Uh yeah I will be there!"
"Hey Alex do you want to come?"
"Uh yeah sure, can I get a ride?"
Syd glares at me and mouths "now is your time to get to know him."
"I can give you a ride, Alex just meet me by my locker after school. Locker 336"
"Ok, Thank you Jake"
"You're welcome buddy"
I go to my first class, and I see Bryce and Cody walk in and sit down at a desk by the door, I walk past them and I get tripped.
"Watch where you're going fag" Bryce says
"Yeah get away fag" Cody follows.
I get up and go to my seat in the back corner by the window. I look up at the teacher about to cry. She walks over to me.
"Are you ok Jake? Anything I can do" Mrs. Hale says concerned
"No, it's ok, I'm just gonna look out my window and write" I say with a sad look on my face.
As class gets done I walk out and go straight to the office. I didn't feel like being bullied today, today was supposed to be a good day. As I'm sitting in the office. I see a post from Dakota, my old friend from when we were little.
'Hey Dakota, long time no talk, do you wanna hangout today? My friends and I are going to our usual cafe at 4:00 today if u wanna come.' I said in a really calm text.
'Hey Jake, man it has been a while, sure I will come, can you pick me up though? Because I don't have a car yet.'
'Yeah, sure man, I'm bringing my friend Alex with us to the cafe so he will be in the car too.'
'Ok see you soon Jake.'

I skipped 4 of my classes, I think I'm ok to go to my last class. I walk to my geometry class and see Alex walk in with Bryce and Cody behind him talking in his ear. I looked at Alex and told him to come here. I stood up looked at Bryce and Cody and punched them both in their noses. Alex laughed and so did everyone else. They ran out of the room with bloody noses.
"Thank you for that Jake, that was really nice of you." Alex says with a shy smile.
"You're welcome, Alex. They bother me all the time too. That's the first time I stood up to them. So any time." I smile back.
When that class is done we walk to my locker and get ready to go pick up Dakota.
"Do you mind if we go pick up my old friend before we go to the cafe?"
