"Wake up you bat," Nathen yawned, poking me.
I sat up, glancing around. Ah, as always, same bed, same room, same damp underground house.
Nathen watched as I got up and stretch.
"Whatcha looking at hmm?" I asked.
"Well, mother wants to er, see you Ardith. I dunno why but she's kinda pissed right now," Nathen said. I casted him a sharp glance, "Kinda pissed eh?" Nathen glared at me, "Seriously, don't,"
"What's the fun in that then? Hmmmmmm?" I said, glancing at the door. Nathen growled and muttered something under his breath.
"See ya if I'm not dead brother," I grinned, patting him on the head as I walked past him and into the hallway.
This, underground scum was passed down for generations, and we live underground because of our identities? I mean, like damn, it's cool being wolf shape shifter.. yeah a werewolf.. yep, but having to hide it, in a world of humans? It sucks, really.
I swung around into the living room, (nearly tripping, whoops) and finding my mom, sitting at the table, reading.
"Yes mother? Your magical, most wonderful, child is here at your service," I said, bowing.
"Sit down," she growled.
I plopped down into the seat across from her, looking around, avoiding whatever face she was making.
"Ardith, look, I love you but, seriously, can you not steal? I found about.. hmmm three loaves of bread behind your bed, we're a wealthy family, and you do not need to go around saying 'Hey! Fear me!' I mean, like.. seriously, and why do you need loaves of bread anyway?" She said, giving me a look of 'explain right now mister, or Your dead as hell'
"Uhm, well you see, I need loaves of bread because I'm a person who loves bread? And who said I stole them? Maybe I don't want to share my loaf! I love bread, ok now. This is a relatively weird conversation right now, can't I just go to town and explore? Perhaps see Marlow?" I said, leaning in the back of my chair.
"Just like your father, my god. Sure fine. But why hide loaves of bread? It's just.. weird. Ok welp, go and don't do anything idiotic. And bring nathen." She said, and focused back to her book.
I grinned, by the way, I really did steal them, I mean like, the bakery had a lot, I mean Alott of bread, what's the hurt of a few loaves of bread lost hmm?
I stood up, running to my brothers room. I walked in, finding him sleeping.
"And you said I'm a bat," I said, poking him in the ribs. Nathen sat up, glaring at me.
"C'mon you, we're gonna venture to town. And maybe steal, just kidding but uh, yeah. C'mon sleepy head." I said, and glanced over my shoulder as he stretched and stood up.
I walked down to my bed room. I put on some black jeans, and a gray loose shirt on.
Nathen walked in as I was slipping on my combat boots. I looked up at him and said "What?"
Nathen grinned, "Why so much dark, shady colors?"
I gave him a quizzical look, "... what do you mean why so shady? I mean.. it's what my style is.."
Nathen shrugged, stretching.
"Just go away with your bright happy self," I growled, shoving him out of my room.
"Ow!" Nathen yelled as i slammed the door in his face.
