The rope is just loose enough for you to slide your hand out. Janson is too distractes to notice you slid your hand out.
Good thing Ratman is half out of his shucking mind so he didn't tie the ropes very well.
You aloud yourself to 'zone back in'
and listen to what everyone was saying.
"Shucking let her go Janson!!!" Thomas shouts.
You managed to get your other hand free.
"Not until I get what I want!" Janson yells back.
While Janson is distracted, you take the opportunity to grab his arm with the knife in it and shove it away from you. That caused the knife to fall out of his hand and slide across the room.
"NOOO!!!" Janson screams in anger.
He starts to run back to the table that had all the beakers to (your assuming) to grab another weapon.
You sit there in watch as Janson gets to the table, grabs a gun, and points it at you. You closed your eyes once more and waited for the gunshot.
'Bang!!!'
You open your eyes and see Janson fall to the ground, dead. You then see Newt holding, not a Launcher, but a gun.
"N-newt???" He shot Janson and saved you.
He dropped the gun and it fell to the ground. You got up out of the chair and ran into his arms. The tears poured out of you. You both dropped to the ground, holding each other.
"Shh. Its okay y/n. I got you." Newt said as he kissed your head, then put his chin on top of your head.
"I t-thought I w-was going t-to die and n-never see you again." You said while hiccuping.
He put his hand under your chin and lifted your head up so you could look at him. He leaned in so your noses were touching, and whispered.
"I would never let that happen."
You closed the gap between you and kissed only for a second but that one kiss had so much love and passion in it, that it blew all the other kisses you've shared far away.
"I love you y/n."
"I love you too Newt."
And in that moment, you didn't care what happened, as long as you were together.
