You guiz are the best and I love you all so much!

And so does Dave.

Dave: *mumbles in the corner*

Uh...anyway...

This is something of a teaser chapter for what's to come next, considering it's kind of a short chapter.

But regardless,

Let the chapter begin!

Oh, by the way, the story will begin it's downhill descent...*checks watch*...

==> Begin Chapter 6.

Chapter 6 has begun.

You chat idly with Dave as you walk to school together. You'd ditched the bus because a certain Strider told you to. After all, if you stopped taking the bus, you'd get to walk with him. That warm and fuzzy feeling wells up in your chest again. It happens every time you were around him, you figured it was happiness.

When you finally reached the school, he lets go of your hand.

"Sorry (f/n), but the Strider bus stops here," He pushes up his glasses and they glint in the sunlight. You giggle.

"I thought you said to ditch the bus," you tease. He shrugs.

"The Strider bus is irresistible, babe." You think on that for a moment, and open your mouth to contradict, but he presses a finger to your lips, shaking his head.

"Nope, nobody," he whispers. He turns on his heel and struts off to his first class. You can't help but watch him leave, his back getting ever smaller. You then feel a sharp finger tapping, er, stabbing you on the shoulder impatiently.

[A/N:...now.]

You turn around to meet the icy blue gaze of some random blond chick, her pissed off look matching the ones of the four or five girls surrounding her.

"Yes? How may I help you?" Her icy look turns into one of disgust.

"Uh, like, stay away from, that, David kid or whatever his name was. He's, like, mine. So, uh, stay away, okay?" You are stunned. She's got the nerve to call him hers, yet she doesn't even know his name? You feel...jealous?

"Okay, so you can call him yours but you don't even know what his name is?!" She twirls a piece of her sun-streaked blond hair.

"Uh, yeah, totally. I mean," she giggles. You find it to be the most annoying thing you've ever heard in your entire life.

"He's, like, totally hot." Okayokayokay you are so DONE with this wannabe.

"Whoa, okay, no. Dave's my best friend, and I'm not about to let some wannabe queen bee into his life. He is not anyone's, not mine, and certainly not yours," You hiss. An audible gasp is heard from the group behind the girl. She narrows her eyes and you nearly reel back in disgust from how much freaking mascara she has on.

"I don't think you've got it through your stupid little head. He. Is. Mine. And he could never be best friend with a wannabe like you. Stupid little bitch. He could never like you, not in a million years. No one really could." Her laugh is cold and harsh as she turns away, her heels clicking against the tile floor. You're left in shock, contemplating her words. You can do nothing but stumble into your first class in a daze.

~~~~~~
Sorry for the super short chapter, I just wanted to finish this so you guiz could have something for the fourth of July.
Yay for doing nothing on holidays!
Funny story, this morning, I woke up and the first thing I could smell was paper, so I got really confused. I opened my eyes, and I saw something vaguely green on my face. Picking it up off of my mouth, it was a one dollar bill. I dragged myself off my bed and my mother was telling my father something downstairs. I brought the dollar downstairs and my mother starts laughing and tells me, "Happy Fourth of July!" And I was like, "You tried to feed me a dollar in my sleep. Gee, thanks. Best present ever." And she just laughs even harder. What she doesn't know is that I have fifteen dollars in my wallet already.
Anyway, hope you guiz enjoy your day, whether or not you'll be doing something special (Hell, have a great day even if you're not American) and hope you enjoyed the short chapter!
Later.
