Dunk your torch in gasoline
And light the world on fire;
Watch the flames roar to life,
Lose yourself to
Blazing columns.
See the forests burning
And worship
The dangerous glow.
Never waver as it draws near,
Taste its rage
With eyes closed.
Do not falter, do not fumble,
Let it singe your hair,
Your clothes,
The very air around you.
Succumb to precious,
Furious infernos
And turn yourself to dust.
Soon there will be nothing.
All of Earth
Reduced to ash
With your remains
At center stage.
And among cold cinders,
Underneath the rubble,
Two green leaves
Upon a stem
Begin the world
Anew.
