Gothic story

So I had to write a story for my English class and I decided to put it up. English isn't my first language so sorry for any mistakes. This is my first story so I'm sorry if it sucks. I take constructive criticism.

One grey and rainy day a teenage girls goes to the library. Knowing where her favourite genre was placed, she went al the way to the back to horror and gothic. She lives in a small town so there aren't that many books. Most of them she had already read. But today she saw something she had never seen before . There seemed to be a new book. It looked a little strange and felt weird weird in her hands, like there was electricity going through it. She took it back home and started reading. There were some gruesome stories about monsters eating young kids, people getting kidnapped and murders in the most gruesome ways. The whole time she was reading she felt someone lurking over her shoulder but when she looked there was no one. Still she could feel a presence. During one of the stories she couldn't bear it anymore, it was just too horrific, she had to stop. To clear her mind from all the monsters and killers she went for a walk. Getting outside she saw it was already dark outside. Strange, it was only 4 PM. She walked around but was afraid at every corner she had to turn. The presence she felt earlier was still there, but now it didn't feel like one person, it felt like there were multiple people watching her every move. In the corner of her eye she thought she saw a monster eating something. It looked like a small figure, maybe a child. She turned to look but there was nothing but an empty street. Suddenly she heard a chilling cry for help that was stopped abruptly. Then came a gurgling like sound, the sound you imagine someone would make when their throat is slit. For some strange reason she started to run towards the sound but the closer she thought she got the farther away it seemed. After a while she gave up, she started to feel like she was going mad. She decided to go back home and finish the book. Back in the safety of her room she saw that there was a card with all the names of people who checked out the book. Reading all the names she came across a name that seemed familiar but she couldn't remember why. Coming to the second to last story she seemed to know parts of the storyline. It was about a boy who just disappeared one day. Everyone in school thought he and his family moved but actually he was found dead at the riverbank of the river at his village. The girl remembered why the name on the card looked so familiar. The name belonged to a boy from her school who moved away last year. Turning the page to the last story she got chills down her spine. This story was about a girl who felt like she was being watched. The feeling slowly made her go mad. One day she just vanished and people at school assumed that she went away, just like the boy. In reality her biggest fear came to life and she was kidnapped by serial killers. Reading that story and seeing the drawing near the text made her realise she was the girl in the story. In an attempt to change her fate she burned the book. Thinking nothing could happen to her she went to bed. The next morning her parents didn't find her in the bed but there was a trail of blood. The book she burned was already in another library waiting for its next victim.
