I woke up to my mom pulling the curtains open.
"You're room looks so nice filled with sunlight"I could hear the smile in her voice
"must you do that while I sleep" I said shielding my eyes
"you should be up, hasn't Sam texted you?" I grabbed my phone and glanced at it
"nope not even a call" I laid back down
"humm that's odd"
"maybe she's busy packing" i adjusted my position, she nodded in agreement
~right she'll be leaving soon~
"Alright well Ill be down stairs making breakfast if you need me"she said walking out the door, without closing it.
I got out of my bed and looked out the window when my phone vibrated. I picked it up noticing marks name across the screen.
Mark: wanna hang?
Me: sure why not -Em
Mark: I will be there at two.
I looked at the time I only had two hours to get ready. I quickly got my stuff together and hopped in the shower, I applied soap to my body and shampoo to my hair before rinsing it off then applying conditioner. Quickly rinsing it out i stepped out of the shower and walked over to the mirror.
I Put on my under garments, black skinny jeans, black Tom's and my black Beatles shirt. I blow dryed my hair and put it in to my signature puffs, then looked at the time. Before I knew it he was at my door Waring a similar out fit black vans, black skinny jeans and a black and white checked shirt
"mom I'm leaving" I said closing the door
"So where are we going" I asked
"I thought we would go to our place" he grinned
"that's a great idea"I smiled
'Our place' was behind this abandoned building in a small patch of woods, when we were younger we found it and started to build a little fort. We managed to have a place to take naps, eat and even look at the stars. It was a place where when you couldn't handle the outside world we would come here and forget about everything. Since we built it it's been ~our place~.
"I can't remember the last time we have visited" he said leading me to his car
"yeah I know it's been forever"I said doing a weird gesture with my hands
we hopped into his mustang and headed over to our place. Once we got there we raced each other to our fort. He beat me only because he pushed
"cheater"I hunched over catching my breath
"I don't know what you're talking about" he said sarcastically
"you kno-" I looked at the fort
it hadn't changed a bit, the Windows still a dark shade of blue the walls with our hand prints all over and the sign that reads 'our place'.
"Sometimes I would come and fix it up." he smiled widly as if proud of himself
"You've done a great job" I said walking inside. As I sat on the floor the memories returned
"do you remember that Time when you smashed your finger with the hammer" he sat in front of me as I asked
"yeah it's still deformed " he lifted up his finger wiggling it
"what about that Time you fell off the roof" he said
"if you weren't there to catch me I would have broken something" I laughed
"Do you remember the promise we made" he asked
"witch one"
"when we promise we would get married" I laughed and replied
"of course I do" he laughed along with me.
We sat there for what felt like hours talking about the fun times we had here. It was about 7:00 when the sun went down and we were able to see the stars. I sat hugging my knees against my chest
"Mark"
"what is it"he raised his eyebrow
" I lost my first kiss" he looked at me
"when was this"his voice filled with concern
" yesterday at the concert"
"how did it happen"
"we were taking a picture and he was supposed to kiss my cheek but when I turned to decline he had already lent in"
"ok" he said removing his gaze
"it wasn't something I wanted to happen it was a complete accident, I don't have any feeling for this guy and it's not like I will see him again."
"Good" he replied, I looked up at the stars
"there's this carnival just up the street"
"so you're suggesting we go?" I asked
"if you don't mind"
"of course I don't just as long as there aren't any clowns " we laughed and made our way out of the fort, it wasn't long until we approached the park where the carnival was held.
"Lets go on a ride" he asked with excitement
"fine" I rolled my eyes knowing these rides sucked
we walked over to the bigest ride they had, once we got on and it started he screamed like a girl while I just sat there. The ride came to an end and I was about to tell him how lame it was when Sam texted me
Sam: what are you up to? -Smizzle
Me:I'm out with Mark - Em
Sam: Mark? -Smizzle
Me: what's been up with you lately- Em
Sam: nothings up listen, can we meet up tomorrow. -smizzle
Me: Sure, but where? -Em
Sam: anywhere you want - smizzle
Me: How about the old park on willows drive?
Sam: sounds great, see you there and be ready for a surprise -Smizzle
Me: Surprise? - Em
Sam: ;) -smizzle
