She's Dating the Gangster

It all started when 17-year-old Athena Dizon unwittingly plays a trick on resident heartthrob and bad boy, Kenji de los Reyes. All of a sudden, she finds herself pretending—unwillingly at that—to be his girlfriend to make his ex jealous.
Now, not only does she have to deal with dirty looks from the girls in school who want Kenji for themselves, but her supposed boyfriend is getting on her nerves. He's hotheaded, never seems to agree with her on anything—and everything about him screams gangster.
Has Athena gotten herself into more trouble than she can handle? Or has she actually found herself a boy she can call hers—gangster be damned?

Okay I've watched the movie and here's what i wanna say:
in my point of view, i guess the movie adaptation of she's dating the gangster is better than the written version, w/ respect to the original author, since direk cathy gives it some sort of escapism from what truly happened to the young athena and kenji's love story .instead of cutting their love by simple death she shows the "reality" where not every couple ends up together. No matter how much you love someone there comes a time where you can't choose the one that weighs more in your heart when life and death's situation appears in front of you without a notice.
I love how the transition of scences were done, and this movie really made me cry. I'm not spoiling but why did they always end it with just kathniel's lips almost 1cm to each other? Somehow annoyed but nvertheless satisfied with Dj's sexy nineties dancing
