Graham's messages succeeded in making me laugh until I read the last one. Okay? I was far from okay, my sister was missing and it was his fault.

This is all your fault. I'm sure you were too busy worrying about your horse to even realize she was gone.

A minute passed before my phone buzzed and his reply popped up:
Graham: yes. that's exactly what happened. but I'm sorry :(

I let out a frustrated sigh before replying:
I'm still mad at you but okay.

I locked my phone and set it on my dresser before resting my head on my pillow.
Between wondering where the hell my sister was, my father's nonchalance and having to communicate with Graham, I was beginning to get a headache.

I ignored the buzzing of my phone, knowing it was just another text from Graham, and drifted off to sleep.
Queen training will have to wait.

ALEXA

Friday, 27th July

It has been two weeks since I've been missing from the Palace, and I never knew that I could've felt so at home in a place that was in the actual middle of no-where.

"Do you even know them?"
I shifted my gaze from the television to look at Nate , who had just entered the room.
"What?"
He pointed at the oversized shirt that I was wearing; that Isaac had lent me, that merely touched my knees.
I gripped the faded dark shirt and went cross-eyed as I tried to read the shirt.

Isaac, who was sitting beside me as we watched a Supernatural episode, lowered the volume and shook his head at Nate.

"You know she lives in a palace and not under a rock right?"

Nate held his hands up in surrender as he sat on the single chair, facing us.
I nodded in agreement at Isaac, "You and Arianna act as if I'm from some other mystical universe, and know nothing about everyday life," I chuckled as I recalled the day she tried to teach me about her boybands.

"Name three songs from them," Nate challenged, gesturing at my shirt again.
I pursed my lips, trying to not show any hesitancy as I racked my brain to recall the songs I knew from the band.

"Backseat Serenade, Therapy and If these sheets were the states,"

Isaac guffawed in Nate's face as I proved him wrong, and nudged my shoulder encouragingly.
Nate simply cocked an eyebrow as he shook his head, releasing a low chuckle,
"Of course, those are the three mainstream songs. They're good but everyone knows them."

"Whatever." I grumbled, tearing my eyes away from him.

"Why don't you leave Lex alone, Indie boy?" Isaac teased his lip curling into a smirk.
I couldn't help the giggle that escaped next, "Indie boy?"

Isaac nodded as he jerked his finger in Nate's direction, "You're looking at the President of Indie Music fan club."

Nate rolled his eyes but a smile lingered on his lips, "I don't only listen to Indie Music."

He started to speak again as Isaac opened his mouth to argue, "And anyway, it's much better than the mainstream junk you listen to."

"Whatever dude." Isaac scoffed, raising the volume.
He turned to me, "Lex love, don't allow Nate to carry you into the dark side," He shuddered dramatically.

"Oh come on! Just the other day you were telling me how good the new The 1975 song was." Nate argued, jabbing a finger at his brother.

"Yeah, I've heard a couple of their songs. They're good!" I interjected, smiling at Nate.
