Paisley: So I suggest you hide.

Lin-Diesel: But I like meeting new people :)

Lin-Diesel: I think I'll meet her!

I rolled my eyes at Lin, even though he couldn't see me. Clearly he doesn't realize that Alex is going to vomit all over him. Or cry. Either one.

I looked out the window and listened to Vanessa and Alex talk, mostly about Hamilton and Vanessa's life, until we got to the apartment.

I picked up my book bag and walked with Alex up the steps. Vanessa was still in the car getting her stuff together. As we reached the door, I stopped Alex.

"What?"

"Are you sure you're ready? Because if not we can do this another day." I told her. Alex closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"Okay I'm ready." She said. I gave her a look.

"Are you sure you're ready?"

"Yes Paisley I'm sure."

"Are you sure you're sure?"

"I'm sure I'm sure."

"Are you sure you're sure you're-"

"I'm ready Paisley!" Alex yelled laughing a little. I laughed too, slowly opening the door. When we walked in, Lin was nowhere to be seen.

"Lin?" I yelled, waiting for an answer.

"Coming!" He yelled back, causing Alex's eyes to widen.

"Is that really him? Never mind I'm not sure I'm ready I-"

"Hey guys!" Lin said, walking over to us. He stood in front of Alex, smiling and extending his hand for Alex to shake. "I'm Lin. You must be Alex! It's great to finally meet one of Paisley's friends. She doesn't have many of those and-"

"Lin!" I cut him off, looking at Alex. "Don't listen to him. I have plenty of friends."

"No you don't. Name one." Lin challenged. I crossed my arms.

"Fine. A-"

"Besides Alex." He said. I groaned.

"But why not?" I protested.

"Because I've already met her." Lin said. I rolled my eyes, thinking.

"Fine. Well then I've got-"

"Kat doesn't count either she's like your 'BFF', as the kids say nowadays. A 'BFF' doesn't fit under the category of friend because a 'BFF' is the chart topping word in the lingo of teens, which means she goes beyond the friend level." Lin said. I looked at him, feeling very confused because I had no clue what he just said.

I also laughed way too hard at the way he said "BFF". It's like his tongue doesn't know how to pronounce it.

Also...Kat and I aren't exactly BFF's anymore. I haven't really seen her more than three times within the past three months. It sucks. I miss her.

"Okay, fine. Ooh, I've got Brandon-"

"No, he doesn't count either. Don't even get me started on that filthy son of a-"

"Lin!" I yelled, cutting him off. "Don't say that about Brandon! He's nice!"

"Whatever. Keep going." Lin said, rolling his eyes.

"Okay well...that leaves us with Winter and Violet." I said to myself. Lin nodded, holding up two fingers.

"Two friends. My point exactly." He said, causing me to roll my eyes.
