A High School Romance

I. The Introduction

Marion North Catholic is not your typical private high school. Ranked year after year as the most prestigious high school in the Cheese State, Marion North is reserved for only the most elite students of Wisconsin and Illinois. Students herald from as far as an hour away from Milwaukee Heights just to attend this prestigious institution. However, just like any other high school, Marion North has its fair share of cliques.
Timmy Kelsin is the school's star athlete. Just like his father, the mayor of Wisconsin Heights, once was, Timmy is the captain of the school's football, snowboarding, racquetball, and tobogganing teams, and he is the most popular boy at school. Every boy at Marion North wants to be him, and every girl wants to be in him. He is truly the coolest boy in school.
Selena Atakenya is new to Marion North. Having just moved to the affluent village of Winnetka, Illinois, from New Jersey, her parents want the best for her. Selena is a shy girl who has very few friends. She is dreading becoming the new girl in a hierarchal school in the wealthiest town in Wisconsin. She is simply hoping for some new friends, and possibly a change at romance. However, Selena knows she will never find herself a man.
The day is August 21, the first day of school. Selena steps out of her mom's Rolls Royce and takes a deep breath. "Goodbye sweetheart. Have a spectacularly wonderful day at school, my honeymuffin," says Selena's mom. "Thank you mother. I will see you after school," she replies. Upon walking into school, Selena encounters THEM, the most popular girls in school. Yugoslavia Induckwee, Yugo for short, is the heiress to the Yugoslavian throne and the wealthiest girl in Milwaukee Heights, making her the leader of the popular girl clique. The King and Queen decided to send Yugo to Marion North because of its extreme popularity and prestigiousness throughout the United States. Upon graduation, Yugo will return to Yugoslavia to claim the throne. Emilia Replatí is the daughter of the Italian mobster Giovanni Replatído, and is spoiled to death. She gets everything she wants and lives in a spectacular palatial estate on five acres in the outskirts of Milwaukee Heights. Chasé Amor is the daughter of Esteban Amor, the founder of the popular Mexican restaurant chain El Amor. They are the coolest girls in school and anyone who dares go against them will face harsh social repercussions. Upon seeing THEM, Selena immediately recognizes these girls as popular and starts walking away at a brisk pace when she hears, "Hey new girl! I heard you're from Illinois, why don't you go obsess over Lincoln or something?" It was Yugo, the leader of the clique. Immediately Selena hears the other girls snickering, and she flees to the nearest bathroom. "I HATE this new school!" Selena screams, and she begins crying when another girl walks out of a bathroom stall. "Hey honey, I'm Tabeetha Sears. I live in Illinois too, so I understand what it is like to be picked on by those obnoxious cheeseheads. They think they're the shit because they live in Wisconsin, so they look down on anyone not from their stupid state. They bullied me because my parents own the Sears company. They said I'm as trashy as my parents' department stores. I cried and cried for weeks after that. I've hated them to this day." Selena replies, "Thank you, Tabeetha. It means a lot." Then the bell rings.
Selena rushes to her first period physics class with Mr. Cheshire. Mr. Cheshire is everyone's favorite physics teacher, and has been nominated for the best teacher in Wisconsin for the past five years in a row, and in 2012, he was even nominated for the best physics teacher in the nation. Everyone loves Mr. Cheshire. "Hellllo miss. What is your name?" he asks. Selena answers, "I'm Selena Atakenya. I'm new." Mr. Cheshire says, "Lovely to meet you, Selena, but make sure you tuck in your shirt sweetheart." "Oh, sorry Mr. Cheshire," she shyly says. Selena takes a seat in the very back of the classroom, far away from all the other students. Then, HE walks in, THE Timmy Kelsin. All the girls blush and at once, in accord as if they were robots, scream "Hey Timmy!" Timmy shocks everyone by walking straight past the popular girls and going to sit in the far corner of the classroom next to Selena. "Hey babe, what's your name?" he asks. Selena sheepishly replies, "Hi, I'm ummm, ummm, I'm Selena. I'm new." She immediately feels attraction to him, but Selena has always been jealous of popular people, so she adds, "And I'm not looking for a boyfriend." Timmy simply says, "Well we'll see about that." He then gets up and goes to the front of the room by all his boys. Rolex Flowers IV is Timmy's right hand man. He is the second most popular boy in school, and assistant captain of the football team. As his name suggests, his great-grandfather, Rolex Flowers, was the original developer of the Rolex watch, and therefore his family is extremely wealthy. They live in a luxurious mansion in downtown Milwaukee Heights, and Rolex is spoiled rotten with endless gifts. Timmy says, "Hey, my man Rolex, what's up?" Rolex responds, "Nothing much man, just chilling and fucking bitches." "Oh yeah, you still with that hoe Serene?" Timmy asks. Serene Adehode has a very - noteworthy - reputation. She is known to have been with almost everything single guy at school, teachers included. She has a love for love and will do anything to seduce a man she has even the slightest interest in. She is also regarded as the dumbest girl in school, with a 1.0 gpa. It is suspected that she has not been expelled from Marion North because she has been having an affair with the school's married principal, Mr. Brett Laspizza. Everyone knows about it, but nobody has been able to catch them in the act. Over the summer Serene entered her first dedicated relationship with Rolex. "Nah, man. I broke up with that bitch after two weeks. Caught her cheating on me with some Marion South nerd. (Marion South is Marion North's biggest rival, located right on the WI/IL border in Crystal Lake, Illinois.) Talkin' bout some 'I'm not a hoe' shit. Bitch yes you are!" Rolex says. Timmy responds, "Yeah, glad you broke up with that hoe. She's been with damn near every guy at school!"
"Okay class, who's ready to do some PHYSICS!" exclaims Mr. Cheshire. He then frantically begins writing physics problems on the board. Selena is sitting in the back of the classroom, bored out of her mind. She frankly cannot understand why all the students love Mr. Cheshire, or how in the world he's managed to be voted the best physics teacher in the Cheese State. All she sees being written on the board are a bunch of numbers. She does not understand why or how these numbers exist; it seems to her as though Mr. Cheshire is just pulling numbers and equations out of thin air. Timmy, on the other hand, understands perfectly everything Mr. Cheshire is doing. He follows his every move and begins to memorize the complicated physics equations.
Then, out of nowhere, BAM! The whole class erupts in a violent gasp as the projector falls from the ceiling and on top of Mr. Cheshire's head. Timmy and Rolex run out of their seats and go over to  Mr. Cheshire's limp body. "OH NO, I think he's dead!"
