"Well, there's Keith. He's the one I know the least about. Then Shiro, he's kinda like a dad, to be honest. Hunk, he's a sweetheart—"
"So far all these people you've met are boys, are you trying to tell me something~" You knew he was joking, but. . .that struck a cord with you, however, you didn't allow yourself to show it.
"Heh. . .then there's Pidge, I don't know a lot about her but so far I can tell that she's really self-assured. And there's Lance, he's an interesting character, but he's really genuine and kind." You explained.
"Is that all? The majority of your new friends are dudes?" The second time he brought that up however, he sounded more spiteful. At this moment you began asking yourself if you should tell him about Lotor or not.
"William! They're just friends." You said and in turn, you only heard a chuckle come from him.
"I'm just kidding with you. I know that you wouldn't do anything to hurt me." Oh wow, could he make you feel any worse about what happened between you and Lotor this morning?
"Anyways, that's not all. . ." You say getting ready to tell him about Allura and maybe Lotor. . .maybe.
"Wow, there's more? Man you've been at work." He teases and waited for you to continue.
". . .Then there's Allura. So far she's been the most help to me. She's really nice and she thinks about others before herself. She's just a really good person." You explained with a pleasant smile.
"Well, that's nice. Anyone else? You seem to be a real Chatty-Cathy over there." You hesitated on answering, of course you wanted to be truthful with him, but at the same time you were scared. If you brought it up, would it cause something?
"Um. . .yeah—there's this guy." Why are you opening it up like that?
"Some guy?" He asked.
"Yeah, he's also been really helpful, and nice and—"
"(Y/n), this guy doesn't have the wrong idea with you, like, he's not doing anything is he?" He skeptically asked you in a worried tone. You stomach had dropped. You knew this was all your fault, you allowed Lotor to do those things with you, not the other way around. You knew you wouldn't have felt guilty if you hadn't allowed for those things to happen.
"No!—of course not." You lied. He had a muffled hum in response to your answer. Then he sighed and immediately when he started talking again, he sounded like his normal-self.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that. I've just been a little paranoid, since we can't see each other everyday. . .but I shouldn't think the worst of you." He passionately stated, making your heart skip a beat. You smiled bashfully at his words and curled your knees to your chest with giddiness.
"You're blushing again, aren't you?" William asked suggestively. You knew that voice, it was his teasing voice, and it got under your skin, and he knew it.
"No—how w-would you even know? Y-you're not even here!!" You exclaimed, rather loudly over the phone, with a tomato red face and furrowed brows.
"Haha!" He laughed. You missed hearing that in person.
"(Y/n), even if I'm not right there I know what makes you tick. Besides, it's adorable when you get mad." You knew he was smiling on the other end of the line, you knew and it irritated you, but envisioning him smiling was always a nice thing to see.
"W-whatever!" You stammered.
"Heh, I love you." William says, sweetness dripping from his voice. You smiled again and began looking down nervously, as if he were there right in front of you.
"I love you, too." You related his words and waited for him to speak again.
"We'll see each other soon—"
"Clarke! Is that a phone I see?" You heard the coach yell from the background of the other line.
"I gotta go. Bye!" He said and immediately got off his phone.
Well, that was good while it lasted. For a few minutes you were able to let go of everything and forget what had happened in the past few days of coming here. You missed William so much, but those thoughts you had when you had brought up Lotor wasn't a lie. You felt guilty about the way Lotor has been treating you as of lately, and you've been letting it happen. William has his full trust in you, and you couldn't bare loosing it. Maybe that second-guessing shit was a fluke and maybe it is meant to be with you two. Looks like you need to set some regulations for yourself. And those regulations need to come soon.
