~Dumb Alley Cat- A to Slight F~

Alexander's POV

Another day of dealing with shit from Jefferson but I was finally leaving after writing non stop and Washington told me to leave. I was walking home when I heard yelling, yelping, and crying from a nearby Alleyway. I didn't want to get into a cat fight. But, being curious I looked around the corner and saw a man pushing, punching and kicking something. The alley made a turn so I couldn't see it and all I could hear was, "You dumb fucking Alley Cat nobody wants you here and you should just die." The man said.

I walked closer to them carefully. I then got a view of who he was beating up. A Cat Human Hybrid. He had freckles scattered everywhere and brown hair. He was wearing torn clothes and his ears and tail were brown with White on the end. I saw the Man punch the Cat again and I couldn't take it. I yelled out, "What the fuck are you doing?!" I covered my mouth. I fucked up.

He looked to me and said, "Why would you care? It's a dumb homeless Cat." He said. I couldn't go back now, "Yea well that 'Dumb Homeless Cat' has feelings and is not just a punching bag. It's Animal abuse it doesn't matter if he doesn't have a home or not." I said he stepped closer to me and pushed me, "Why are you standing up for him anyway? Just cause he has a pretty face without the bruises?" He teased.

I tried keeping calm and collected, I failed. I stepped forward towards him, "Because he has a life just like you and that is precious! Do you Realise what the fuck you are doing? Beating a poor cat up because he most likely had a hard life. It's most likely not his fault!" I snapped.

The guy was at a lose for words he scowled and stomped out of the alley calling me names the way. I walked towards the Cat who was crying on the floor, "Hey, it's okay..." I rubbed his back. He looked up to me, "You didn't have to do that..." he said, "Of course I had to, you Don't deserve being beat up. He smiled sadly misty eyed, "Thank you..." he mumbled. I helped him up, "No problem. What's your name?" I asked, "I- John Laurens... you?" he stuttered.
