Once a little girl,
cried out his name.
She said, "Oh my Prince charming,
when will you stop by,
to whisk me away?"

Once a little boy,
looked around his place.
He said, "Oh my sweet princess,
will I ever find you
or would it be too late?"

Time decked it's cards,
And changes were brought about.
Her dreams lay shattered now,
like the vase tossed to the ground.

His promises turned into lies,
like the flowers that that give away to death, when seasons change

She looks him in the eye,
Cries out in a bitter state, "How can you hurt me, why would put my heart to a play?"

Something holds his tongue and he simply walks away,
He never tells her,
But he thinks, "It's better this way. I can't love you the same."

Five years later,
Is it still the same.
Did we grow up?
For better or worse?
One look at his face.
One look into her eyes.
They knew what it meant,
Why it never happened.
The world is a funny place.

She said, "I don't need you to save me today."

He agreed, "I hope in another life I can keep you as a queen and not as a princess. For now, I wish the best your way."
