Obsession

Chapter 1 | TESSA

The transition from highschool to college  for some people it was not easy  especially since some have to leave their friends that they knew for 12 years and go to this building where they barely know anyone.

Through for Zoe this was the least of her problems, at her old school she hardly had any friends there. She was really exited that finally she was able to break out of that prison of a highschool and go to college where  no one knew her. It was her chance to change to became a better version of herself.

Zoe decided to take different subjects from what she had  in highschool she decided to take Economics and Management as A level and leave History  which was the subject that she had chosen in highschool as IB.

She was happy with her desion as soon as the applications were out she was one of the very first to apply with her new subjects. She spend the whole summer locked in her room planning her new college life.

When the first day of college finally arrived she was so exited. She quickly got out of bed at 5 in the morning and got dressed quickly she arrived quite early for her first lesson but she took that time to walk around the campus  and discover where things are and the facilities that the college offers.

As the first lesson was about to began she went to first floor and waited. She saw two girls Ashely and Mariah they did not really like her or she thought that they did not. They greeted her they were surprised that she chosen Economics and Management.

Mariah saw a girl she was alone on her phone and Mariah being the girl who always likes to talk to everyone she went to her  "Hey you seem alone... why don't you hang out with us?" Mariah asked smiling. This girl that had  black hair looked up from the phone and smiled at Mariah. After that both of them  started talking  including Ashely, I stand near them hearing them talking. After a few minutes they had to stop they saw a teacher and she opened the classroom's door "I am really sorry but Mr Smith is running late" she said and then walked out of the classroom.

The girl which apparently her name is Tessa sat near Mariah and they continued talking. Everyone in the class started introducing themselves and asking for the names so they could add eachother on Facebook.

Mr Smith came after 45 minutes and he briefly explain what does the course of A level Economics consists of.

|Zoe's P.O.V.|  

After class we walked to the canteen, I knew that this was the perfect time to talk to this girl I smiled at her "So what subjects are you taking?" I asked her and she looked at me weridly I could feel like what I had asked her was a silly question "I am taking A level economics and Management " she said "Oh just like me  I have my managment class after this" "Same, my room  is F303 "  "Oh my god same" I said.

I knew this was the perfect girl to became friends with. We both have the same classes and she seemed pretty cool.

Me and Tessa talked during the free lesson. I noticed that me and her had a lot of things in common even through throughout the conversation there might have been some awkward silence.

We bought got up and went to our second class which was management. Both of us sat at the back since those were the only available seats. The teacher  rambling about the syllabus went in and out of my ear as a flash I wasn't paying attention I was really happy at the fact that I finally found someone to hang out with.

After Management we had another two free lessons so we decided that we wanted to go out and discover what there was near the school.

There were variety of shops stationeries, charity shops, restaurants... through there was a a particular shop called Green Eye that really caught my eyes. Green Eye had very cheap knick knacks that were actually  things which we call Aesthetics.

The atmosphere in the shop makes you feel calm, I was surprised that there wasn't that much people. I guess people haven't found out about it.

Me and Tessa bought a couple of things. I bought a new pencil case and staionery which I could put in it and some room decor. Tessa bought a pineapple blanket, a heart pillow and also a frame with a motivational qoute. There were a bunch of other things which we wanted to buy however we did not because we do not want to go back to school with a handful of bags. We decided that we go there in another lesson.

When we went back to school there was still was some time left, we decided to go in the canteen and get to know eachother more.

"So what do you want to be when you grow up?" I asked her "Well I always wanted to work in the film industry maybe an actress or otherwise a teacher, what about you?" She asked "Well I want to be an economist I had history  back in highschool but I changed my mind " "That is so cool I really do not know which subjects to chose for A level so I choose them because I heard that they are easy, it is so sad that they do not offer theatre as A level I would have picked it. I think it was just faith so I could meet you"

I was paying attention to her until I saw a boy, I saw him laughing with his friends his dimple specifically  caught my eye. I don't know why I could not leave my eyes off him. Tessa's voice became as a background voice with all of the other chattering sounds that  were in the canteen. He was waiting in line to buy so food.

I could not remember his face but I only managed to remember his dimple that dimple that kept haunting me for the rest of the day.
