Nerris woke up to Harrison drawing with his finger on her back again. She groaned and finally turned over. Harrison smiled.

"Did you have a good sleep?"

Nerris remembered the events of the night before and frowned. Harrison saw this and his smiled disappeared.

"Nerris... It's fine..."

Nerris came in closer and snuggled up against Harrison, "I know Harri. But I can't get his words out of my head. He wanted me to leave you. He doesn't like you, now he doesn't like me. They were already disappointed in me as it was, now I'm just a disgrace."

Harrison knew this wasn't true, "Nerris, he still loves you, he's just jealous that you are with me rather than hanging with him like you used to. He can't let go of the past, like you can't forgive him right now."

Nerris sighed, seeing that what Harrison said was true. But her stubbornness got the best of her, "No, Harri. I can't go on like... this. I. am. a. disappointment."

Harrison squeezed her, "No... you aren't. You're not a disappointment, your dad is just... overreacting. He'll come around eventually. Just give it some more time."

"You don't understand Harri, my dad. He's just. He is so overprotective, and he was just really hoping for some ideal perfect guy to come around and that I'd still have time to spend with him and my boyfriend. He has this idea that could never work out. And it's not that they don't like you, they were just hoping for something else. But that doesn't matter, your perfect to me, in that Ying and Yang cliché bullshit kinda way. I just need my parents to see that instead of judging so heavily."

"Wait, so your parents don't actually care about you being pregnant? Only cause it's with me?"

"Yeah pretty much...", Nerris whispered to Harrison. She didn't know how he'd take it, hopefully it wouldn't affect him too badly. She almost instantly regretted saying that but then to her surprise;

"Well if it makes you happy I guess I've gotta step up and prove myself". He didn't know any other way that could make things better and what he really cared about was making Nerris happy so he decided he would do whatever it takes to make her parents change their mind.

Nerris shook her head, "Are you sure you're up for that?"

"Nerris, we are going to be a family, I need to prove to your parents that I can be the best husband-" Harrison cut himself off.

Nerris looked up at him, raising an eyebrow, "Repeat that last word."

Harrison smirked, "That last word."

Nerris rolled her eyes. She slowly got out of bed and headed to the shower. Harrison sighed with relief when she left, he almost blew his cover. But, she was right... was he up to facing her father? Her mother seemed pretty fine with him, but he couldn't be too sure. He needed her father's consent if he wanted to go further into Nerris' and his relationship. This was like a game, Nerris' parents were the final boss. He'd already done the side quests, going to first and second base, but now he's caused a problem there and it was time for his consequences.
