The two men stopped for a minute. As they broke out of the forest that protected the base like a piece of armour, they shuddered with the new found cold.
The taller man wrapped his good further around his head, the fur lining tickling the sides of his face; it was worth the few moments of irritation as the view from the bottom of the mountain was unbeatable.
It looked over the other mountains, making them look like ants compared to the one the men were stood on. The sides were as black as coal and the snow was scatters of ash dotted about the surface, getting more concentrated the nearer to the peak they were. The fog was a barrier, preserving the view for only the few people that get this far.
"Come on Charlie. If we stand here gawking at the mountain any longer, we'll have no toes by the time we find some shelter," the shorter man said, his scarf muffling his words. When Charlie didn't respond, he stepped on his foot, hard. Charlie gave out a yelp and gripped his foot in pain.
"What the hell was that for Matthew?!"
"To get you moving," Matthew responded with a roll of his eyes. "Now come on! I want to find a cave or something where we can set up camp before it gets dark"
They began to climb up, using the hiking gear that they spent half their money on, and started scanning the area for a cave of some sorts. Matthew was up ahead, hawking out the general area whilst Charlie was being more precise, looking for something like a nook rather than a big cave, so it'll be easier to hide from wild animals.

Hey guys! Long time no see, new book?? Yeah I had a blast of inspiration in the middle of English and decided to post the narratives I've been writing in said lesson the past few weeks!

And don't worry. Goddess Girl Chapter 5 is being written, I just don't even think I'm half way through it yet lol
