left the room.
“Mom, what is there to talk about,” I asked her.
“I’ve got questions for Brittney. Now are you sure that you don’t just have your
period?”
“Yeah, I’m sure,” Brittney answered.
“When is your next period supposed to come?”
“In two to three weeks,” Brittney replied.
“Are you bleeding?”
“Yeah,” she said. “Nate’s mom already asked me all of this.”
“And you told her that you’re bleeding?”
“Yes,” Brittney said.
“What did she tell you to do?”
“She said to put a pad on and go to the hospital,” she told my mom.
“Do you have any idea as to what could be wrong,” my mom asked, and Brittney
shook her head.
“Mom, don’t you think that we should go,” I asked her.
“Yeah, let’s go,” my mom said.
We all walked outside and got in the car so that we could take Brittney to the
hospital.

I really didn’t want to go to the hospital, but the pain was excruciating.
“How are you feeling,” Nate asked me.
“Horrible,” I answered. “I’m exhausted and pain keeps shooting through my
stomach.”
“We’re here,” Christian said while my mom pulled into the hospital parking lot.
“I don’t think I can walk,” I told them.
“Is the pain that bad,” Kate’s mom asked me and I nodded my head. “Okay,
Christian will go get a nurse and a wheelchair. I’m going to go with him just to
explain what’s going on.”
Christian and Kate’s mom got out of the car to go get the nurse and wheelchair.
That’s when I started crying because the pain was hurting even worse.
“Why are you crying,” Nate asked me.
“It hurts,” I sobbed.
“Shh, it’s going to be okay,” he whispered to me.
“Here come the nurse,” Kate told us.
She got out of the car and came and opened my car door.
“Do you know what could be wrong with her,” I heard the nurse as Kate’s mom
as they got closer to the car.
“Not a clue,” Kate’s mom told her as they finally reached the car.
“Can you stand up for me,” the nurse asked me. I nodded my head and slowly
