Boom!

The west side of the castle collapsed.

"Run! Hurry up." I grab his hand and we run as fast as we can towards the baby room.

"We have to hurry or else our child will," He said.

Boom!

I pointed to Casper and told him to find Alina and Marc and tell them to meet us in the safe room.

"Yes, malady," Casper said.

I grab our child and we make a run for the safe room. Once there we saw Alina, Marc, and Casper running towards us from the west side of the castle. Then we open the secret passageways toward the safe room.

"You must run malady, or else we are all doomed,"Alina said.

"No. I will protect my people and my family. I will not run," I said

"But malady," Marc said.

"Ugh, how many times must I tell you and everyone else to stop calling me malady and just call me Victoria," I said.

"Nows not the time to be bickering about nicknames, my love," he said.

"I know Aaron, but if I'm going to die then I want to be remembered as Victoria," I said.

"Vic, you are not going to die today," Alina said.

"I swear, I think everyone just says 'malady' to get on my nerves," I said.

"Maybe a little," Aline said. When I looked at her she had tears shining in her eyes.

"Casper, get all of the servants and other civilians evacuated outside through the passageways. There will be no more deaths tonight. Alina and Marc, I need you to take our child and run. We only trust you to take care of our bundle of joy," I said.

"But, Victoria," Alina said. Now with tears running down her face.

"Alina thank you for being my friend. Thank you for being here with me through thick and thin. Thank you for always telling me the truth, no matter how blunt or tough it is. Thank you for everything. Marc, you have taught me so much. You have taught that strength isn't whats on the outside, but it is whats on the inside. Thank you for being my Guardian, my Protector, and for being my friend. Casper, you and the other servants have always helped me. You have always been kind to me and you have sort of been like a second father to me. You helped me understand what love is. You helped me learn that not everyone has what I have. And you helped me fight for those who needed what I had," I said. I felt something wet on my face, so I looked up, but there was nothing there. Then I touched my face and felt tears.

"Victoria," Alina, Marc, and Casper said in unison.

"Please, I'm not done yet. Casper, I need you to pass a message on to all the other servants telling them thank you for everything for me" I said.

"Of course Victoria," Casper said.

"Now for you, Aaron. You have always been my rock. The person who helped me through all of this. You have been the one person who I want to wake up in the morning with, you are the one person who I fell in love with. I can't imagine what my life would've been like without you and I don't want too. You've never judged me and you have always believed in me no matter what. I love you so much." I said.

"Victoria, you make me want to be a better person. Before I met you I was lost. I was afraid to love. But, you gave me joy and passion. And a family," Aaron said looking lovingly at our bundle of joy with tears running down his face.

"My child," I said, looking down at our bundle of joy, "I love you so much and I am so proud of you. You will make mistakes and life will be hard, but you will live and survive. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you cant do anything. You will fail sometimes, but you will also succeed. Don't ever let that put you down. Since the first moment that I held you, I knew that I would love you more than anyone or anything else in this world. You are my child and I dont expect anything of you. You deserve to be happy and to be loved. This is your life and you control what happens in it. No one can control you and no one can make you feel inferior unless you let them. There is so much more I want to tell you. I wish I would be able to tuck you into bed every night. I wish that I would be there to dress you up. I wish that I would be there to throw a vase of water on you when you wouldn't get up in the morning. I wish that I would be there to teach you what's right and wrong, but I can't be. I wish I had more time to be there for you, but while I may not be there for you in person, I will be there for you in spirit. Be kind and be generous. Be loving and supportive. I love you so much and I will always be proud of you as a mother should be." I said. Then I took my amulet off and clipped it around my babys neck. Then I gave our child to Aaron to say his goodbye.

"Lovebug, I was never good at expressing my emotions," Aaron said holding our child up and looking into our childs violet eyes "but I wish for more than anything in the world that I would be there for you. I wish that I would be there to scare off any potential love interest that you may or may not have. I wish that I could tuck you into bed every night and read some of my favorite stories to you. I wish that I would be there to tell you I love you every night, but I can't. However, don't ever think for a second that we don't love you. I wish that I could see you grow up into the amazing person that I know you will be. People will always underestimate you, but don't let that put you down. You are brave, talented, and the best thing that has ever happened to me. I won't be here for you in person, but I will always do everything I can to protect you for the rest of your life. I love you and I will always be proud of you."

He then gave our child to Alina to hold. Aaron and I then cast the glamour spell on the amulet to hide the violet eyes until the time is right.

"We will protect your child with our lives," Marc said bowing his head with tears streaming down his face.

"And I will be here to protect the castle for when your child is ready to take the throne," Casper said with determination glistening in his eyes.

"Good. Now leave while Aaron and I hold them off and give them a distraction they'll never forget. I leave the innocents for you to protect Casper." I said

I then watched as Alina and Marc run through another passageway with our child towards their freedom and Casper run through another to get the civilians to safety. Aaron took my hand and we walked back through the passageway we came from to face our enemy and give our child the chance to grow up.
