"Peter! Why would you even think like that?" I felt like I already knew, I bet he's had past experiences with his exes.

Peter burst into laughter over the phone, before catching his breath and talking again. "Sorry, sorry, I can't take that out my mind." He said.

"Anyways, the line might start cutting off soon, I'll be heading out to my car. Wish me luck Kavinsky." I hate driving, but did I have a choice when all of my friends already left?

"Ah, Covey good luck. Don't get into a car accident because prince charming can't save you this time." Ugh, he's so cheesy but adorable.

I finally arrived home. I had parked my car in a large gap between Daddy's and Trina's car. I haven't driven in a while actually. Usually at UNC I don't use my car that often, I bike or walk.

I had unlocked the door with my free hand, and Daddy, Trina, Kitty, and Peter were all there.

Daddy and Trina hugged me first. "Lara! We've missed you so much." Trina said. "Same here, I've missed the kitchen smelling like a bakery than a dumpster." I looked over daddy's shoulder a bit, to see piles of garbage on the floor. I guess he really can't survive without me or Gogo.

"Okay okay, but it's my turn!" Kitty yelled, walking in between Daddy and Trina, splitting them apart as she wrapped her arms around me. I never realized how her head can reach up to my chin now when she hugs me. Before, she was so small she could barely hug my waist. Time flows, I want her to stay a small kitty forever. I hug Kitty back and look down at her, with the biggest smile in the world.

"Aren't we forgetting someone Covey?" My shoulders went up a little bit, startled from the voice, but I turn around. My Virginia prince is here.

I look down at Kitty who's frowning. "Be like that Lara Jean." She said with a hurt expression before snuggling herself up to daddy. "Kitty, let Lara be." Trina said with a chuckle, patting her hair.

"Ahem. Covey? My hug?" I was about to call him needy to tease him but that's not what I needed right now, I needed something more than just a hug.

"Wait, back up a little bit." I say, stepping back and waving my hand to signal him. I looked up at him with his eyebrow raised, as he slowly stepped back into the dining room.

I smile at him and take a deep breath. "Are you ready? Catch me." I said, with my arms at my sides. I may not look the best right now as Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing, but hey. It's romantic anyways.

"I hope you remember your movies Kavinsky." We watched Dirty Dancing late night together without Kitty, too racy for her age. But then again, she did watch the Sopranos. Daddy was working late, Kitty was at a sleepover anyways, and Trina was somehow walking her dog at night which I found very unsafe.

Peter blinked for a few moments before grinning while he looked at me. I can see Kitty from my peripheral vision looking at us every now and then from her iPad confused, daddy's also confused, (what a shame he hasn't watched it.) But Trina's grinning with her hands clasped together.

(Ik it's a little abrupt but I was struggling with writing it, but it ended up working out lmao)
