You fiddled with the gold Cartier bracelet on your left wrist as you pretended to listen to the person you were in a conversation with. Some up-and-coming artist Andrew was looking to sign was innocently chatting you up, clearly unaware that you were here with Shawn, who you could practically smell the jealousy radiating off of.

His eyes burned into your skin across the dimly lit room, mentally undressing you from where he was standing. It was another one of those fancy-people-parties that you hated going to, but Shawn wanted you there and insisted that you dress up for him.

He refused to share you with anyone, even if it was just some oblivious guy being friendly, and grew selfish when it came to your attention. You loved it. Your eyes flickered up from the piece of jewelry on your wrist, meeting Shawn's hungry gaze in the candlelit room. You felt a familiar ache between your thighs, growing impatient and desperately craving his touch.

"I'm sorry, I've gotta go," you said flatly to the young man beside you, making a beeline for the curly-haired boy by the bar. You were barely able to reach him before his hands grabbed a hold of your face and he leaned down, encapsulating you in a passionate kiss. You felt his tongue graze against your pout, pulling away as you slightly opened your mouth. His perfect teeth tugged at your bottom lip, releasing it as his hands snaked into yours.

"Mine," he growled as his eyes opened, appearing darker than the chestnut colour you were used to.

"Yours," you whispered back, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips. He pulled away, caressing your thumb with his and leaning against the bar top.

"That guy sure likes you," he mumbled, reaching for his glass of scotch resting beside him and swirling the liquid with a tiny wrist motion.

"Doesn't matter," you shrugged, releasing his fingers and placing your hands on his firm chest.

"I know," he said cooly, a smirk masking his face as his eyes found yours again. His dark eyes got lost in yours for a second, the audible murmur of the room around you falling silent as you grew mesmerized in his stare. He looked stunning as you inspected his face in the dim light, the ache in your core growing more prominent. A loose curl hung on his forehead and his eyebrows were a little messy, just the way you liked. His cheeks and nose were rosy from a few drinks too many, lips pink and swollen from being firmly pressed on yours. A shadow was cast in the scarred divot of his cheek and you fought the urge to plant a little kiss on it. Slight stubble graced his chiseled jaw as your eyes travelled lower, observing his broad shoulders and the way his chest seemed a little too big for the dress shirt that was tightly clad to his torso. His top two buttons were undone, allowing you to see the silver chain hanging from his neck and the small brown hairs scattered across his chest. Your eyes flickered up to his, noticing that they were now crinkled at the corners because he was smiling at you.

"What?" you asked bashfully, cheeks flushing as you grew a little self-conscious. He shook his head, forehead tilting down to rest on yours as his loose curl momentarily tickled your face. He exhaled through his nose, eyes falling shut with a hand resting on the small of your back.

"My girl," he breathed, pulling you flush against his body. "Wanna go?" he suggested in a low tone, raising an eyebrow at you. Heat rushed to your core as you knew what was likely to be happening soon, and all you could do was nod in response.

"That's my girl," he smiled, taking the last sip of his drink and placing the empty glass back on the counter. You turned in place, heading toward the exit with Shawn hot on your heels. His hands were planted firmly on your sides as he breathed down your neck, making it nearly impossible to walk properly. Before reaching the door, you had one last look around the room, meeting the shocked eyes of the stranger you were previously conversing with.
