Chapter 23: Our First Date

We both sat down and he revealed what he brought us...

"Those sandwiches look amazing! Those grapeslook good and strawberries! lemonade!" I said eating it with my eyes

"Haha, I think I did amazing"He smiled siting down

"I guess so"I joked

"Eat up and then you can see what is for desert"He replied

"Can't wait"I said taking a sip

"I am sorry that this couldn't be out in a fancy restaurant" He spoke

"I don't really get why but, I am happy that we are giving this a chance...Your a cool guy"I smiled

"You too"He replied

"I'm a guy?"I asked

"No I mean a girl"He laughed

We ate and laughed. It got quiet and listened to a stream? I got up and went to see.

"Claire?"Zach called

"What is that? Look its a-"I turned to tell him but, I sipped falling into the stream...with tons of rocks

Then it went black and all I felt was the cold water flush over me...

*Zach's POV*

As we sat I couldn't get my mind off that she was wearing the skirt I bought her...I wanted to tell her but, I kept quite. Its to early to say anything about all the gifts.  She stood up and went to the stream...I called for her and then she spoke...

"What Is that? Look its a--" SPLASH 

I ran to see...She fell in and was out cold. She must have hit a rock. I grabbed her out and took her to where we were eating. I took the extra blanket and put it on the grass and placed her on it. I checked her out, she looked OK. She had a scrap on her head and a bump on her head. I know that's bad but, its better then her dead. She started to move and her eyes opened up.

*Claire's POV*

When I woke up there he was my prince charming...That was weird. I started to sit up but...

"No, I need to make sure your OK"Zach said

"I am Ok"I said

"How do you know? You where out"He spoke

"Ugh"I said lying back down softly

After a few I was able to get up and sit down. It was cold so Zach gave me his jacket because that's all we had. Its not like we knew this was going to happen.

"Wow, that's not how I imagined this going"He chuckled

"Sorry, I hurried the water and when I went to turn and tell you, I slipped and feel"I spoke

"Its alright but, I do know what could make this better"He smiled getting something out of the basket

He placed it on the table and I about died...

"I know we had strawberris but-"He begin but I cut him off

"No, I love strawberries, This is amazing" I smiled 

"Oh good, my che-friend thought so too"He said

We begin to talk and laugh. He got 2 calls and he finally put his phone on quite. I guess it was his mother. I looked up and the sun was setting. We both got up hand-in-hand and went to watch it set. We both smiled and listened to the birds. My phone beeped and I looked...

Cathy texted:

Darling, Its late you alright? Guess what the prince is gone missing! My friends wanna be young again and go find him so I won't be home

Me:

Alright, I am fine. Go be kids again

I looked at  Zach who was wondering who that was...

"It was my fake mother...She said the Prince has gone missing"I told him

His face went cold but, hood it quickly.

"Do you know him?"He said quietly

"No, I never bothered. I've been to busy but, I guess living here I should maybe"I stated

"No, don't. Its a crazy mess. It's better if you stay out of that" He replied

"Ok then"I giggled

He looked at me and I looked at him. The air felt good and he looked good. The sun was setting and the birds where getting ready to sleep. This. Was. Perfect. Then I noticed that Zach was closer...I got closer to him and then the most amazing thing happened....
