S.T.R.B. Chapter 6

Start from the beginning

I take  in my collection of clothes.

In the end I pick out a pair of blood red short shorts, a black tank top, a thin blood red knit vest, and a pair of my old black beat up high top convers... which were hard to lace up since I have a broken arm.

For jewelry of course I wear my pentagram necklace, a wear lots of  thin metal  bracelets, I wear a few rings but nothing to fancy mostly sterling silver rings, and then I put my ruby studs in my top piercing of my ear and a pair or plain large hoops in my bottom piercing and for my belly button piercing I put in my blood ruby one to match my outfit.

Once that is done I walk to my bathroom and brush my teeth and wash my face.

For my hair I leave it down only bothering to run a brush through it and for makeup I just put on a little eye liner and lip gloss.

Exactly a half an hour later I make my way down stairs to meet up with Scott.

“Wow you’re right on time.” He says a little shocked

“My mom was always big on being places on time.” I say “So let’s get going.”

Walking outside I am instantly blasted with hot muggy air that makes me want to pant like a dog.

“Why is it so hot here?” I whine making a b- line to the white suburban Scott is hopping into the driver side

“It’s hot here because it’s California Noah.” Scott explains

“I think I prefer Washington where the weather is mild and rainy.” I grumble slumping in my seat after buckling in because if I have learned anything about the car wreck that ruined my life it’s that my seat belt partially saved my life by preventing me from going flying out the front windshield.

“Yeah well I am sorry you’re just going to have to get used to the weather here Noah.” Scott tells me

“Yeah that transition will be real easy considering I spent the first sixteen years of my life living in a mild weathered environment and now you expect me to magically adjust to this stifling hot, humid and muggy environment yeah let me get right on that and until then don’t get offended when say this weather freaking sucks and I hate the fact that I am probably going to be sun burned by the end of the day.” I finish my little my little speech my sucking in a giant breath and when I look over at Scott he is looking at me with an ‘are you done talking now?’ sort of look

“Are you done now Noah?” Scott asks

“No are you really planning on sending to me to a private school?” I question

“Yes Noah we are about to go and enroll you in private school just like the rest of my sons and trust me when I say it won’t be as bad as your last experience with a school.” Scott reassures me in a calming voice

“Oh good goddess now you’re really going to condemn me to hell aren’t you.” I say snickering a little to myself as I kind of paraphrase what Maggie the nut job said to me last night

“That’s not funny.” Scott hisses at me turning on the suburban and pulling out of the long driveway

“Well I thought it was kind of funny myself.” I say smirking at Scotts gradually turning red face

“You know you didn’t find it so funny last night so what’s brought on the change Noah?” Scott questions seeming a little calmer but I can sense under him calm demurer he is still pissed about what happened last night and I didn’t exactly help with handling the situation the way I did.

“Actually I found it very funny last night that your bat shit nuts wife would straight out tell me I am going to hell if I don’t change my wiccan ways what I didn’t find funny in the least is when she brought up my parents because if you hadn’t noticed Scott they are still of a sore subject for me to talk about; just for future reference; anyways back to the subject on hand what your wife did was set off my temper which is something no one should do because when I get angry it gets ugly, Maggie is just lucky I didn’t bitch slap her for what she said to me. No offense intended towards you in anyway Scott.”

“I am not offended Noah, I know Maggie was a nut job when I was forced into marrying her so you’re not offending me in any form or way.” Scott says sighing and rubbing his head

“Wait you had an arranged marriage to the nut job your technically call your wife?” I ask gaping at Scott in complete and utter shock

            “Sadly yes.” Scott says

“So you aren’t madly and hopelessly in love with your wife or even like your wife for that matter?” I ask

“I tolerate her that’s all about anyone could ask me to do.” Scott admits looking like an enormous weight is being lifted from his shoulder with each word he is speaking.

“You’re even more screwed up than me Scott and that is saying something since I have nightmares that would scare any normal person literally to death.” I say sighing

“You need help Noah.” Scott says laughing a little

“That’s exactly what Adam said two weeks before the accident and I told him to fuck off so now I am tell you fuck off I don’t need help.” I say laughing a little at Scott’s facial expression

“Yup you need help now come on let’s get you enrolled so you can get that help.” Scott jokes turning off the engine and getting out.

That’s when I look around and realize we are sitting in the middle of a schools parking lot.

Quickly hopping out I follow Scott “you’re an asshole.” I mutter when I have caught up with him

“I think you have said that to me before now hurry up I am starving and I am willing to bet you are too.” Scott says

As if on cue my treacherous belly begins to grumble angrily at the fact that I have not eaten in a month.

“I take that as you’re hungry as well so let’s get this over with.” Scott says placing and hand on my shoulders and leading me to the evil school

Oh lord here we go.
