Chris POV

My door cracked open and Kynsie peeked her head in and knocked

"Come in." I smiled

She walked in smiling and sat at the end of my bed

"How you been Christopher?"

"I been fine so far. Improving. Better than the last time you saw me." I said sitting up

"I see." She smiled. "How is therapy?"

"It's coming along good. The people there have good patience and they nice."

"That's great, don't want no impatient people watching after you. We all know that you are a lot of work." She said and chuckled

"First off, fuck you." I chuckled with her. "So enough about me. How you been?"

"You know, the usual. Staying stuck up in the house with nothing to do. But I feel that I can trust you Chris... can I tell you something?" She asked as she looked down and started fidgeting with her fingers

"Yeah you can. What's wrong?" I asked grabbing her hands

She took a deep breath and looked at me

"I think I'm falling in love with my step brother."

August POV

"So how has it been back in Atlanta?" Ms. Joyce asked

"Betta' than eva'. Me and Kynsie done built a stronga' bond." I smiled

"That's great, you know most step brothers and sisters don't get along."

"I know. I couldn't stand my last ones."

"Come on Aug!! Let's play dollies!" Royalty said grabbing my hand

"Ro I don't think August wants to play dollies."

"It's okay Ms. Joyce." I chuckled and stood up

Royalty lead me to her play room and we walked in

"Okay I get this one aaaaaaannnnnnd you get this one." She said handing me a doll who's hair was cut off

"Why mine bald head?"

"Cause you bald head." She said brushing her dolls long hair

"Cause I'm bald head?" I laughed

"Yeah. You a boy. Boys can't have hair." She said and looked at me

"How come we can't?" I asked, playing with the doll she gave me

"CAUSE YALL BALD HEAD!" She yelled at me

"Okay 'den. Attitude." I said

"Come on let's play horsey." She said, snatching my doll out my hand and throwing me and hers across the room

"Why did yo.... where 'da horse at?" I asked looking around for a horse head on a stick

"You the horse." She said and hopped on my back

Chris POV

"What you mean you in love with him? Nah scratch that, why you in love with him?" I questioned her as I let her hands go

"Chris I didn't say I was, I said I think I am."

"Might as well say you is. When did this happen?"

"Earlier on our way here, we did some things then told each other how we feel. Even though I knew August was feeling some type of way, I ignored his feelings and mines because I was with you."
