The waiter asked if anyone wanted dessert. Marinette was quite full even if she only ate half of the raspberry and cream cheese crepes she had ordered. Emma ate the other half plus her pile of blueberry pancakes and still remained hungry enough for dessert.

"I want a chocolate sundae." Emma eagerly replied.

"Make it three." Adrien corrected.

The waiter walked away to put the order in for the desserts.

"Adrien, you didn't have to order for me. I'm full." Marinette said.

"Oh? I didn't know you wanted one I could of ordered four. I'm paying after all." Adrien laughed.

He liked food especially dessert. Sure, Pancake Warehouse's desserts weren't as delicious as the Dupain-Cheng's bakery but it was still good enough to eat.

"No, your not." Marinette replied.

"Yes, I am."

"No, you're not. You drove us here. It's the least I could do."

"Marinette, let me."

Marinette remembered how his generosity all those years ago sparked her Adrien obsession. She still had the box that contained the many pictures of Adrien from her childhood bedroom.

"Mommy, you always said that it was polite for a boy to pay for the girls food especially on date."

Emma said as she was fishing for the strawberries out of her third glasses of strawberry lemonade. Marinette was embarrassed while Adrien thought it was cute that Emma had called this outing a date.

"It's not a date." Marinette corrected.

"Yes it is. You look at Adrien like you said ChatNoir looked at Ladybug." Emma pointed out.

She caused her mother to turn a shade of red. She hadn't seen Adrien for such a long time she couldn't possibly still have the same feelings for Adrien as she did then. Marinette had learned a couple things being a mother that children had a habit of picking up on emotions that adults unintentionally ignored.

"Sorry." Marinette apologized to Adrien who didn't find the situation at all embarrassing. He knew Emma didn't have a father figure and he thought that maybe Emma was trying to match her mom up with him. Not that he would object.

"It's fine."

Adrien said as he watched Marinette the confident young woman turn back into the stuttering schoolgirl. The waiter returned with desserts and sat one in front of each person at the table.

"Is that all?" The waiter asked before returning to serving the other tables.

"That's all." Adrien replied.

Emma's sundae had Reese cup eyes, a cherry nose, and a chocolate syrup smile. Adrien picked on her by eating one of the eyes.

"Heyyy! You have your own!" Emma scolded.

"You better hurry or I'm going to eat it Reese by Reese." Adrien joked causing a big smile on Emma's face, who was a big fan of puns. Another quality she had inherited from her father.

"Eye, she what you did there." Emma replied trying to contain her giggles.
