"Alexa?" Zoey asked. "Alexa? Hey Alexa, you there?" she waved her hand in front of the other girls face. Alexa was out of it again, the 16 year old always seemed lost in her own little world a lot. Not only that, but she viewed the world differently, always looked up rather than down. She saw the good in people and tried her hardest to reframe from their flaws. Alexa wasn't super popular, but she wasn't a nobody. Most enjoyed Alexa's company and would only say pros about her. If there were flaws said, it was usually from a guy who couldn't get into her pants. She would date, but sparks just never seemed to fly, and she didn't really care to waste her time with them. She wasn't looking for the one or anything, she didn't really care for that bull. But if someone really caught her eye or if she really felt something, she would be quick to explore it.
"What?" Alexa turned her head realizing she was zoned out. Her eyes averted from her distraction and went back to find her best friend since childhood, Zoey Mitchell, staring at her expectantly. Zoey's quite a character, not only drop dead gorgeous, but some how managed to have the brains too. She has a tendency to always be up to something, a very scheming little minded one. She was also almost fearless, never afraid to say what's on her mind or do something crazy. Her traits were all over the place, but the one that stood out the most, was her protectiveness over her friends. Zoey's friends were her everything, and she would do anything for them.
"Please tell me you were not staring at him?" Alexa's attention went to the other girl sitting across the round lunch table. Madison Mendes, Alexa's other best friend, who shook her head. Madison was more of the laid back girl in their trio, she seemed to have everything figured out and didn't give a single fuck about anything. Unless of course it came to her friends. She would honestly bury a body for them, no questions asked.
The girl was also latched onto her boyfriend's arm, Drew Ramos. Drew, the sweet guy, who would do anything for his girlfriend and her friends, he was practically their body guard.
And then finally next to the couple was Sergio Calderon, Sergio was another sweet kid, but always found his way into trouble. Lucky for him, he almost always charmed his way out of it and manages to be the life of a party. They were an odd group of friends but it worked for them, they all cared deeply for each other.
All heads turned to him as he entered the lunch hall, the one and only, Brady Tutton. That boy had quite a reputation at the school and it wasn't a good one. He was known for being a player, a fuckboy if you will. He could manage to pull girls from left to right. No matter how well known he was around school for what he did, he still managed to charm girls into thinking "his exes were all crazy" or "they're different from other girls." He had quite a system, and it always worked. His wingman was on the right of him, Chance Perez, wasn't quite as bad as his buddy. He tended to date many girls for longer periods as his buddy, Brady was more of a fuck and go type of guy. Those senior boys walked around the school like they fucking owned the place and the worst part? Everyone else let them do it.
"Why is he wearing sunglasses inside? He looks like an idiot." Alexa scoffed as she glanced up at Brady, trying to make everyone remember where she stood on her opinion of the boy.
Brady and Chance got closer. "Ay Tutton what's with the shades? One of your girls finally give you a black eye?" Drew said just as the tall boy was about to pass him.
Brady pushed his glasses to the top of his head and turned around so he was slowly walking backwards away from Drew while glaring at him. "Fuck off, Ramos." He threw a middle finger up as he spun back around.
Drew chuckled to himself then looked back to find all the girls staring at him. "What?" he asked cautiously.
"I don't get why you guys are friends with him" Zoey grimaced looking at the boys then to Brady.
"He's disgusting." Madison shook her head looking up at he boyfriend.
"I don't know, he's not that bad of a guy" Drew shrugged, "I mean he's terrible to women, don't get me wrong, but he's fun to talk to".
"Hey Alexa, you trying to get at him or something?" Sergio teased at the way the dirty blonde was still looking over at Brady. "Be careful though, you might catch something." He added with a laugh.
"Gross." Alexa finally turned around and cringed at the boy across the table. "I'd rather cut off my lips than have them touch his, thank you." She gave Sergio a sarcastic smile.
"Anyways, while were on the subject on our favorite fboys," Drew tried to reframed from using the full term as much as he could, since he was once known as one, untill he met Madison. "Chance is having a party this Friday?" He smirked, "We going?
"Babe," Madison looked up at her boyfriend almost disappointed. "Dinner with my parents, remember?"
"Ugh," Drew bitched and moaned, "they hate me".
"They don't hate you, they're just cautious cause you're older," Madison caressed her boyfriends arm. This was true, Drew was a senior as the rest of their group was all juniors, he managed to join their group last year when he started dating Maddie and everyone was inseparable since.
"But we're still going, right?" The party boy, Sergio would never turn down parties.
The two girls nodded with grins.
