Getting Started | Sniper x Assistant!Reader (TF2)

Start from the beginning

It took longer than you imagined, especially since Scout, who you learned was named Jeremy almost never stopped talking about himself, and how he was 'God's gift to women'. After some time you had enough, and kicked him out.

Demoman, Tavish, mostly talked about himself as well. Drinking was definitely a strong hobby of his, which ended up making him pass out on the table in the middle of his story about him and a haunted sword almost starting a war.

Heavy, Misha, had not much to say regarding information. He told you about his love for basic sandwiches, his minigun called 'Sascha', and for you to not touch....'Sascha'.

Pyro.....you outright couldn't understand. All that you could pick up on him was that he was almost childlike, with his lollipops, pink unicorns and rainbows fascination. You thought he was kinda cute, in a sibling matter.

Soldier had very few logical things to say other than his love and endless respect and devotion for the great United States of America. At one moment he practically stripped naked, smeared himself with honey, grabbed his rocket launcher and ran out the door, claiming that he could sense a communist.

Dell Conagher was a respectable Engineer, and an overall intelligent man from the information he gave. He seemed to be an easygoing person for someone in a nonstop turf war. His manners were top notch as well, using terms such as 'm'am' 'miss' and more. Dell was a man you wouldn't mind being a friend of.

The 'Ex-Doctor' Ludwig was quite a character compared to a few others that you've spoken to. His medical knowledge was sometimes perfect, while some seemed to be mentally insane or unorthodox.

Since Spy refused to say any personal information, your last session was with the rugged Sniper. You came to know him as Mundy; the well mannered, professional sniper with a wickedly good aim. He seemed to make you feel safe and relaxed, a strange feeling that you've come to ignore, and he appeared to open up to you about stories and history like an old friend. Embarrassingly, you'll admit that you really enjoyed spending time with him, you even shared your life with him too. You let yourself drop your flat demeanor and show emotions around him, occasionally laughing as he talked about how he threw a jar of his own urine at an enemy spy and watch them scream in disgust, followed by the BLU Spy later being burned to death.

"I gotta say sheila, I had mah doubts about cha when I first saw ya, but you're a riot!" Mundy laughed with you, a blush dusting his cheeks from watching you smile so much. Your smile was so bright and genuine, he loved it, and soon enough, he'd come to love you.

-----------------------------------

Miss Pauling could tell how much you loved being with the mercenaries, enough to make your shell crack, and she was happy not only because she had less problems to worry about, but because her acquaintance finally made other friends. She decided to let you work full time at the base, with the exception of her dragging you off to help her with a job when she needed an extra hand. You choose to live with the men, a tough choice but the best one. You fixed up the RED building, cleaned up, and even helped cook for them after a long day or a rough defeat. And you enjoyed every minute of it, specifically when you got to spend time with your best friend; Sniper.

The two of you would go on little adventures through unknown areas when the team had to periodically switch bases, finding all sorts of interesting scenery to explore. He'd teach you how to handle a sniper rifle, and you'd teach him how to bandage himself up better whenever he got hurt. Everyone else on the team would joke about how the both of you were practically joined at the hip, and you would too. On days that the RED team would win, the boys would be so excited about winning after a losing streak, that they would party and drink like there was no tomorrow. You'd see them run into the base with huge grins, a few members dancing in celebration, others high-fiving each other, or someone coming up and hugging you real tight out of appreciation for aiding them with their big win.
