It was a lonely night, the unclouded sky was dark blue and the air was starting to turn cold. Silence was sweeping over the little town of Marringhosh. And in a small apartment there lay a not-so little dog named Markus who was lazily spreading himself on the couch as Julia, (his owner) fed him gourmet dog treats. Julia had just gotten a text from her boyfriend asking her if they had any leftovers. So Julia picked up the phone, alas she had to stop feeding Markus for a few brief moments. The fat dog did not like that and he growled and barked as he struggled to get up from the couch.
"Markus Darling, look at the state of you!" Julia cried, she had now just seen how truly fat Markus was getting. Markus plopped down sinking even further into the couch. Julia dropped her phone and picked up Markus. The dog whimpered as he struggled to get himself back to the doggy treats. The poor thing was very uncomfortable and struggled to engage in movement of any kind. Julia took him over to the scale.
"120 pounds!" She screamed.
"Honey we need to fix you up!"
