After our Bowling adventure, we decided to head back to my house and walk around my neighborhood for a little. We were still in the beginning stages of getting to know each other so we had much to talk about yet we were both avoiding the inevitable conversation begging the question "what are we?"

We ended up walking around a pond in the center of several houses and their backyards. There was community seating along the rim of the water so we decided to sit down at one of the tall, old, tilted, wooden benches and continue our surface level conversation. The sun was nearly set and darkness began to surround us.

I could no longer listen to him ramble on about Batman, and I could not hold back what I felt needed to be said anymore, but I didn't want to say it myself. I wanted what I thought was the "fairytale" approach where he is the one to ask. So I proceeded to pry the question out of his lungs, tugging on my fishing line ever so slightly then all at once when I had had enough. He finally understood the not-so-subtle hints and we became official. I was satisfied.
