Poem

One day now seems unreal,
but my love is still clear.

If I could take away one day,
that smile would never ever go away,
and you'll believe in that one day.

It was time for us to go different ways,
you should go and live your life,
and I will in heaven spend my days.

If I had just one more day,
that smile would never go away,
and we'd believe in that one day.

I put the pencil and paper down. They walked back in and I smiled a little. That was not my real smile.

Tinus: Are you feeling any better?

I nodded and they put chairs next to my bed. I looked first at Tinus and then back at Mac. I moved my hand back to the paper and hide it.

Tinus: What have you got here?

I nodded my head from right to left. He looked at me with his big puppy brown eyes. He was looking at me until I finally gave up. I gave him my poem and he looked at it.

Tinus: Before I read this...I wrote a poem for you too. Here.

He gave me his poem and I know what was written on it. I remember all that happened while I was on the other side like they call it.

Tinus: That's amazing!

I took his hand and he smiled a little. I looked around the room and saw a doctor. She was young and she seemed nice. Like my mum or mostly of her.

Tinus: Alicia? Do you want to be friends again?

I slowly nodded and smiled. He hugged me and then took my arm.

Tinus: Promise me, you'll never do that again.

I looked away and his small smile faded away. He was sad and I was breaking inside. I can't even lie now. He was talking quiet.

Tinus: Alicia, please. I need you more than you think. I need a friend like you. You are perfect in evrything and I'm sorry for making you sad. But please, don't cut yourself.

I looked away again and tears formed in my eyes. I let them out and they were rolling down my face like a river. If I could only tell him about my feelings. I heard doors opened. Then I heard their beautiful voice.

Mac: Is it over?
I just gotta know

I was crying so much. They were crying too. I hugged them both and they hugged me back. I looked at them still crying.

Me: I...I'm...so...ry.

Tinus: You shouldn't be. I should be sorry. I still love you Alicia. It's just that you don't want that.

Mac: C'mon bro. You can't do nothing about it. You can just wait. And say that you fucked up. It'll be easier for you, trust me.

Tinus: Yeah, I...I fucked up.

I laughed at them and then the doc came in. She wasn't very happy.

Doc: Dear Alicia. I've got some news from your doctor. She told me all about you.

Tinus: What about her?

She looked at me and I slowly nodded. She looked back at them.

Doc: Look guys. That's not a joke. She...she's got a...

Mac: C'mon. It can't be that bad. You're acting like she's got a cancer.

Tinus: Can you please shut up?!

Mac: Jeez, I was just telling the truth. It can't be bad.

Doc: Well, it's very bad. And if that's a joke to you, than you can go home. She...she's got a...a tumor.

M&M: WHAT?!

Doc: I told you that's not a joke! How do you think she's feeling rn? When you acted like that? But there's one more thing. It's getting worse because of her heart. It seems like it's broken.
