Lola-Marsai Vaques

Alexandria, Lousiana.

It was taking my baby a long ass time to get back from the car. I called her phone and she was not picking up. After a moment of her not picking up we all heard loud screams coming from outside. I knew my daughter's voice so I dropped my wallet and rushed out the door with others behind me. Before I could come to terms with what was happening I saw a van speed out of the parking lot from by my car and my baby wasn't there. My world, my whole heart was burning and I couldn't feel anything. I ran to the car hoping that I was dreaming and my eyes were playing but I saw my car door open and her phone and my card on the ground. I screamed out and I felt my lungs collapse. I broke down as I saw her Puma slides sitting by the tires of my car.

"NO. NO. NO!" I yelled repeatedly.

There was a crowd of people watching me trying to get myself together. I screamed and cried for help, I couldn't move. They began to walk towards me to help me up

"Please! Call, Call the police!", I cried holding myself up.

There was an elderly woman who walked up to me with tears in her eyes. She looked petrified and tears were streaming out of her eyes.

"I saw them, they were in a black van. There was no windows, she was screaming and kicking for help. I tried to get to her as fast I could on my cane but I couldn't reach her fast. I got the tag number and that's all I could do, I am so sorry baby.", she spoke hugging me.

"My..My babyyyy", I cried as the police walked through the crowd.

A female officer walked up with her partner behind her, She looked like she held so much sympathy in her face.

She cleared her throat and began speaking to me, I was zoning in and out and everything she said was slowing down.

"Ma'am.", she repeated.

I blinked out of my space as tears streamed down my face. The old lady and two other women were still there rubbing my back and hugging me, I am so thankful for them.

"Y-yes?", I whispered.

"Ma'am I asked do you have a picture of your daughter so we could put out a missing person report in the next two hours?", she repeats softly.

"Um...y-yes I do", I said wiping my tears pulling out my phone.

I pulled up the most recent picture of my beautiful baby and bursted out in tears staring at her face.

"Okay so ma'am you're going to have to meet us at the station so we could get this through to the computer and I will alert them to send out an amber alert

"Okay so ma'am you're going to have to meet us at the station so we could get this through to the computer and I will alert them to send out an amber alert. Could you describe what she had on miss?", she asked writing in her notepad.

"She had on grey sweats and a black spaghetti strap crop top. You have to find her, she's my everything, my whole world wrapped into one. She never talked to anybody, she don't have any enemies she never messed with anyone ever ma'am.", I told her.

she gave me a weak smile and nodded her head. She walked away with her partner and all I could do is stare. I walked to my car with the same women following me. I cried as I picked up my baby's slides and phone and my debit card. It was my fault, I knew it was. I sat in the drivers seat as they helped me with everything.

"Im so sorry this happened to you.", said a woman that looked my age.

"I'm Tanya", she said introducing herself softly.

"I'm Pearline", said the elderly woman.

"And I'm Monica", said the other woman that helped me out.

"I-I'm Lola-Marsai", I said watching them all.

"If you need anything you could call us anytime, if you're not up to go to the station alone my sister and I could come with you", said Tanya. I'm guessing her and Monica are sisters since Monica nodded her head.

"I-I don't think I can do anything! My baby is all I have, its my fault! I told her to come out here. I want my daughter.!", I cried as I put my head in my hands.

"No-No it is not your fault, there are just some sick ass people in this world and you can't change that. I bet you raised a wonderful baby girl but you have to fight for her right now. We will help you, we got you sis.", Monica said wiping my eyes.

"Thank you so much. I never had people be so nice to me before", I said hiccuping.

They helped me get myself together and Monica and Tanya hopped in my car and we made our way to the police station. I needed my daughter, she was the only reason I haven't given up in life.
