"You could at least remember me." the red-head choked. And the soldier did, if only for a split second.

A soundless video clip danced through her mind's eye: A red-headed toddler perfectly pirouetting across a room full of mirrors. Other toddlers quietly watching their number one competitor effortlessly glide across the room.

And just like that, the memory was gone.

Then, out of nowhere, the man who wore the cat suit earlier appeared at her side. His first move was to kick the soldier's arm so she would lose her grip on the red-head's throat. He then continued to kick at her, swiftly alternating which foot he used.

Using her metal hand that she had balled into a fist, she lashed out at the man. He stooped to the floor, deftly dodging her attack. While she recovered, the man was quick to land a blow to the soldier's face. This effectively stunned her.

She wasn't used to getting this many blows. She was used to her fights being quick and effortless. She then concluded that her inability to perform was due to how out of shape and out of practice she was. She already knew that her punishments would be severe, but when her handlers saw how she performed, she knew the punishments would be worse.

Shaking the thought out of her head only a second later, she raised her other arm in an effort to protect herself from anymore attacks. She swiftly blocked the next few hits before she landed a harsh blow to the man's chest.

He flew backwards, but was skilled enough to flip himself over. The soldier didn't stay long enough to watch him glide across the ground on his hands and feet in a cat-like manner. Instead, she turned and began to stride up a nearby set of stairs.

She needed an exit and fast. Time was ticking and she didn't want to be away from her handlers any longer than she had been. She didn't know how long they had her trapped here, nor how long she had been away from her handlers before they kidnapped her.

She assumed she had been sent out on a mission and that something had gone wrong. Whatever had gone wrong was most likely her fault, otherwise why would she be here? She just needed to get back to base, then everything would be wiped out and she could forget all about this mistake.

As she reached the top of the second flight of stairs, the man she had just knocked to the ground landed gracefully on his feet in front of her. The entire time he straightened his posture, the two locked gazes. The soldier analyzed his stance, looking for any sort of weakness. She didn't find any.

Soon enough, the man launched the next part of his attack. The soldier noticed he seemed to like to use his feet when attacking, so she leaned backwards in a desperate hope that this would cause him to fall over. If he fell over, she could quickly gain the advantage and simply get rid of him.

The two spun in circles, a whirl of limbs, as each fought to gain the upper hand. Soon enough, the man had her metal arm pinned in between his two arms as he struggled to, the soldier assumed, break it.

With a severely enraged look crossing her face, she glared at the man. Her arm shuttered and sparked as the internal mechanisms of the weapon began groaning in protest to the pressure.

Without realizing how close they were to a staircase, one wrong step lead to the soldier and the man tumbling down the steps. The soldier was the first one to get up and the first to make the next move.

She landed a blow to his face, but he was quick to recover and land a blow to her face as well. Forgetting that he liked to use his feet in combat, the soldier was shocked when her feet were knocked out from under her.

She flew back into a wall behind the railing of the staircase before she fell down several flights of stairs, hitting several railings and obstacles on the way down. However, she was quick to get to her feet and escape by the time the man came down to look for her.

Stalking through the building, this time with no interruptions, the soldier finally reached an outside access door. She wrenched it open, the metal groaning in protest to the forceful movement. The soldier was glad to see some sort of flying machine awaited her on the landing pad. This would make it quicker and easier to get back to her base and her handlers.

She crossed over the concrete landing pad before she picked the lock off of the machine's door like it was nothing. Swiftly, she got inside and locked the door so no one could stop her, yet again, from leaving.

Remembering how to work such a machine as the one she was currently in, she began flipping switches. She wasn't paying attention to the brunette who had just appeared in the doorway to the landing pad.

However, she stole a glance as the machine began flying. The two made eye contact before the brunette frantically sprinted up the steps and towards the machine. She thought that he wouldn't be able to reach the height she was at already, so she smirked to herself. Nothing could get in the way of her returning to her home now.

Yet, she was sorely mistaken. The brunette took a leap of faith and latched onto the bottom of the machine. It jolted down in reaction to the sudden addition of weight, startling the soldier inside.

She glanced down in annoyance as he began bringing the machine back down towards the ground. Although, she had to admit the effort he presented was nice. Maybe if she could bring him back with her and they could train him into a good soldier, then her punishments would be less severe.

But even so, she was still trying to leave and she couldn't with this man attached to the outside of the machine. As they reached the end of the landing pad, the man grew desperate. So, he reached out with one of his hands and grabbed onto the yellow reflection bar in a desperate attempt to keep his girl from leaving.

She watched in slight awe at the raw strength the man possessed. Yes, if she could bring him back, they could turn him into a great asset. But, in order to do that, she would have to somehow get him into the helicopter with her.

So, with some slight miscalculations, she pushed the machine back towards the landing pad. She didn't realize the angle in which she was at in relation to the top of the landing pad so instead of landing on the concrete, she went through the concrete.

The man pulled away and frantically tried to avoid the whirling blades that would no doubt cut him sheer in half if he came into contact with one. As he pulled himself up into a sitting position, he hadn't realized how close he was to the soldier.

On the other hand, she knew exactly what she was doing. To avoid further injury, she thrust her metal arm through the glass window and latched onto the man's throat. She hoped that she could force him into unconsciousness. Then, after that, she could take him anywhere she liked without his resistance.

The sounds of metal groaning and moving didn't phase the soldier as she focused on her current task. However, the backwards movement of the machine did phase her. The brunette tried to stop it, but the sheer weight of the machine dragged both of them over the edge of the landing pad and into the water below.

During the fall, the soldier lost her grip on the brunette. Then, when the machine made contact with the water's surface, she flew forward until her head smacked into the glass of the front window. The impact not only left a spiral crack in the glass, but it also left the soldier unconscious.

As the water stilled, two heads popped up out of the water. One brunette and one blonde. The blonde soldier was still unconscious and the brunette knew she would be for a while. So, clutching her body to his, he began to swim backwards through the water and towards safety not only for her, but him as well.
