Chapter 5

"Shh!!" Dipper hushed his sibling who obliged. "I hear something. Also, demons never do that."

"Except for Will!"

"Shh!!" Dipper looked around, hearing footsteps but he can't find the source of the sound. Mabel felt herself get frightened, as she clung on her brother's shoulder. The sound got louder and closer, until it stopped. The twins looked at each other before turning around.

Now, in front of them, the demon Dipper was talking about. It had a wide grin, showing of his white sharp teeth, while its skin was red, all red. Mabel was about to scream when the demon knocked her out leaving Dipper to catch her. But before that, the demon grabbed him, and everything was black.

Mabel fluttered her eyes, when she fell to the ground, she felt dizzy and her eyesight are a bit blurry. Her sight spun a bit as her brown dazed eyes fixed at Dipper who was lifted by the demon. She saw Dipper gasped as the creature made the boy's mouth open. She could see red smoke coming from the demon's freehand as it went straight in Dipper's mouth and eyes. She saw that the demon dropped him next to her. She turned her head a bit to see her sibling has his eyes and mouth now closed. She looked up slowly to see the demon approaching her with its still shit eating grin, then everything went black again.

"...Star!.....ooting Star!!... Shooting Star!!"

Mabel gasped, jolting up from her laying position. She looked around her dark surrounding. Wait, dark?! she looked around seeing shadows of Pine Trees, realizing it's dark out. She gasped again, the happenings from earlier hit her as she stood up to look for Dipper. She took a step then came to a stop when she felt a body prevented her feet to move.

It's Dipper's body.

"Dipper!" she yelled, kneeling down to shake her brother up. "Wake up!! Dipper!"

"Shooting Star!!"

She looked behind her seeing a familiar silhouette running towards her. "Bill!! Dipper's hurt!!"

When Bill arrived at their spot, he could barely see blood oozing from Dipper's arm.

"What happened?!" Bill asks as he picked Dipper up. He looked lifeless. He's still breathing, but slowly.

Mabel stood up quickly as well, responding. "I'll tell you later. But now, let's go back to the shack to tend Dipper's wounds," she said it quickly as possible as Bill teleported the three of them back to the shack, and in Dipper's room.

He lied the brunet down on his bed as Mabel run out to get some first aid kit. She returned to see Bill healing the now noticeable big gash on her sibling's arm. She took a bondage out and a rubbing alcohol with cotton balls. She kneeled down and put alcohol on a cotton ball before damping it gently on Dipper's slightly healed wound. She also noticed that he's not wearing his upper clothes. Bill took them off to help remove–heal–the wound.

When Mabel finished wrapping the bondage around Dipper's upper arm. She run out again to put the things away, then returned back to her brother's room to see again Bill putting a red shirt on Dipper's unconscious body gently. He adjusted his Pinetree's position on the bed so he could get him under the covers. After putting it at the brunet's shoulder level. He sighed, and hugged him gently, still kneeling down.

Mabel sighed too, walking closer to them. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have taken us to Monster Hunting." she looked down, ashamed and the feeling guilt splash to her, worrying deeply about her dear brother's health.

Bill gave her a small smile and wave it off. "No, it's fine. Just next time, I'm going with you too. It's just I have business to attend to."

Mabel smiled as well, nodding.
