I was sitting in class, not knowing what to do. I hated how my day was going, and wished today would just end.
Of course, this was just a wish. Nothing that I wanted to happen ever happened.
"So if you add this and multiply it by the variable, you'll get your answer," Mrs. Sanders said.
Math, never understood it. Never will. I thought to myself.
I decided that I wouldn't have to listen to this lesson and would just copy notes from my friend Faith. She was always listening, even if it was just review. I then opened my new sketch book, that my grandma from Mexico gave me.
It was a very elaborate, yet simple book. The pages were crisp and white, calling for me to draw on them. The cover was decorated with beads that formed the face of a cat.
What to draw, what to draw. . . . . How about a distraction to blow this joint. I thought.
Then something came over me, it started out a line. Then, a face, a body, and a weapon. The detail added to the creature, transformed its body into a horrifing and grotest monster.
An ogre.
In my mind I thought, This would be a good distraction. It would be like the time Hermione from Harry Potter was attacked by one in the bathroom. Everyone stopped what they were doing to see it. . . .so why wouldn't it distract these people.
The bell rang, and I was glad I was done with Algebra or whatever it was I was learning.
The last class of the day ended and I was relived I could just go home and relax. I was in the bus and pulled out my sketch book to work on a drawing of my friend, Faith, as a fairy. When I turned to the page there was nothing.
