bill denbrough gets lost

the day started out normal for both stan and bill. stan wanted to spend the day at the mall for his birthday, but they had to do it the day before because unfortunately, both men were busy on the actual day. but bill wanted to surprise stan in some way with something special because he loves his boyfriend so much.

his goal for the day was to buy some gifts for stan, but he wanted to do something nice in a secretive way and have his boyfriend try to find him.

an hour after their arrival at the shopping center, bill slyly left stan while he was busy admiring the pretty colored bath bombs in the lush store. it was the bird lovers favorite store because he loved the smell and he loved his baths.

seconds later, stan looked up from 'the big sleep' jelly bomb he was adoring. he shortly realized he had no idea where his boyfriend went. he assumed that he was waiting outside for him, probably fed up with waiting for him to be done. so, he quickly went to the register, bought the bath bomb, and left the shop. but he saw no bill sitting on the bench, waiting for him.

at first, stan thought he must be still in store so he went back inside. he looked and walked around the store in an anxious manner. people were eyeing him in a concerned way, but no bill was found.

a worker in the store walked up to stan, looking slightly worried.

"is there anything i can help you with?" she asked. stan just shook his head and quickly walked out of the store before he could cause anymore drama about his silly boyfriend.

then, he tried to text or call bill yet he never responded. stan knew that his boyfriend did not use his phone that much, but this was a unique situation than most.

what if he was kidnapped? what if he's planning to break up with me? what if bill forgot about me, went home, and left me here to die? why on my birthday celebration? stan thought. he was feeling very panicked and did his best to calm himself down.

he should not let this overwhelm him. he assumed that maybe bill just left to go to his favorite shop, newbury comics. although he did not like this store due to the weird employees and inappropriate books lying around, he would do anything for his man.

stan walked across the mall in a fast way to get to the closest escalator to the store. while he was sauntering towards the way of transportation, he looked nervously everywhere trying to find his boy, but no sight of him was there.

when he got on the escalator, he ran up the moving stairs, two at a time, and nearly tripped. stan was thankful he did not.

he made it to the entrance of store, took a deep breath, and walked inside. he immediately walked towards the manga and anime section knowing there was a large chance bill might be there due to his love of japan. he did not find him there, so he looked through every part of the store.

still, there was no glimpse of bill denbrough.

at this point, stan was freaking out. all he wanted was a relaxed and calm shopping day with his beautiful boyfriend the day before his birthday, but he got a panic attack instead.

stan left the store and tried to think of other places he could be, but he was not able to think anywhere as newbury comics was the only place bill literally worshipped.

there was only one option left that was not a store: the food court.

he traveled down the escalator again and made his way to the food court in a fast-paced walk. he arrived in the area, looking amongst all the people and finally finding the auburn haired boy he loved ever so dearly, sitting alone at a table.

stan ran to where his boyfriend was located and said "bill! seriously, i have been looking for you for an hour! where have you-"

but then he stopped himself and just looked at bill as he was surrounded by shopping bags. bill also had two soft served vanilla ice creams with a chocolate waffle cone in a cup on the table, stan's favorite.

stan sat in the booth next to bill and embraced him, his eyes beginning to water.

"i-i was so worried about you," stan whispered into bill's neck. bill rubbed his back soothingly.

"duh-don't wuh-wuh-worry! i w-as j-just tr-trying t-to make your bir-birth-thday extra sp-special," bill said with a small smirk.

stan softly hit his arm in a playful manner with a small smile appearing on his face.

either than nearly losing bill denbrough, stanley uris had a pretty great birthday.
