C h a p t e r - E i g h t

I clear my throat and take a step back, and he turns his attention back to the door "I know that you hide your teddy bear inside your school bag, so mum doesn't take it when she punishes you" Kaiden stated softly, trying his best not to let me hear what he's saying, but I heard it anyways 

"Kaiden!"

The door flew open and a girl with blue jeans and a rose pink hoodie jumped on Kaiden laughing as her pony tail flew around "I knew it was you" she giggled "I just wanted to know if you knew where I hide my teddy bear so I can change it" she said hugging his neck and he chuckled tightening his grip on her 

"And why is that?" he smiled "So I can change my hiding spot, you can hold a grudge real bad" she said and they brush there noses against each other "I thought I was going to stay alone all day" she whispered and he shook his head "Wasn't going to leave you alone" he whispered kissing the top of her head

I bite my lower lip as my smile grew, this is definitely the cutest and most adorable sight anyone could see   

"Who are you?" the girl asked tilting her head and I smile taking a step forward towards Kaiden, since he was carrying her "I'm Carley" I introduced myself and she turns her head a bit to the right, observing me "You have nice hair and your ears have a nice shape" she stated and I smile confused 

"My ears have a nice shape?" I repeat completely confused "I guess you have a nice ear shape as well?" I try complementing her and she giggles "I'm kidding, there is no such compliment" she said and I chuckle "I'm Otilia, I'm eleven and yes I have a teddy bear names Cecelia" she introduced herself and I chuckle

"When is mom returning?" Kaiden asks and Otilia sighs "She will be returning at nine or so" she answered 

"Let's go inside" Kaiden ordered

As I walked behind Kaiden, following him, I can hear Otilia locking the door from the inside, I take my time looking around and observing the place, from the outside it looked like a homey bright white house, and from the inside it was very comfy. At my right I couldn't help but stop in front of the pictures 

It was a wall full of pictures of Otilia and an older woman, who I assume is her mother from the similar features but my eyes go wide at the seventh picture that my eyes landed on.

It was a small boy who looked around twelve or thirteen with a girl next to him, who looked older than him - she looked to be around the age of seventeen or eighteen, both of them were face to face, with the girl almost falling on her back and the boy with his thumbs up, the background was very beautiful with the very clear green leaved trees and flowers at the base. I couldn't help but trace the picture with my finger tips

It's like the picture was snapped at the right moment 

"What the hell are you doing?" Kaiden's voice snapped from behind causing my hand to drop 

"Nothing I was just looking at the pictures and th-"

"Ya well you shouldn't, follow me" he snapped and I follow him without any words 

We enter the living room and walk towards the messy sofa, that was covered with random used tissues and one opened box of ice cream with the spoon placed on the glass table in front of it

"What the f*** happened here?" Kaiden harshly whispers 

"Otilia!"

"I can explain, I can explain, I can explain" she kept repeating the words very fast standing behind the sofa, out of Kaiden's reach 

"I was really upset when I returned back home from school, and I was crying and everything" she started and Kaiden frowns "And you kno-"

"Why were you crying?" he cut her off, but she stays quite "I-it's nothing, I promise" she whispered and Kaiden turns around the sofa "Why were you crying" he repeated "Did someone hurt you? Did someone bad mouth you?" he asks her and she shakes her head 'no'
