I was in a forest, dark yet beautiful. The forest was covered with blankets of tree tops while light shone through the little cracks between the leaves. It had a peaceful serenity to it, there was nothing no one moving, not a creature in sight. I began to wave through the trees, leaving the crunching of the leaves on the ground behind me.

I soon met an opening in what I assumed to be the middle of the forest and in the shape of the circle. In it lay a huge stump that seated a beautiful white wolf. The wolf was laying down weaving her tail from side to side looking at me intently. I was  mesmorized. I should have been scared but I was completely taken aback by the beauty of this wolf. She didn't look like she would eat me alive and all I wanted to do was touch her.

I walked closer, slowly my hand reached out to pet the wild wolf. She sat up while I took a few steps back. She sat with her chest high and mighty, with authority. I stood frozen not terrified but shocked at how large in size this wolf really was.

"Ellie Ellie" I heard my name being called softy, almost a whisper. It seemed to come from all around almost like it had been carried in the wind, but the air stood as still as the trees.

Beeeepppppp Beeeeeepppppppp!

I opened my eyes frustrated. I fumbled on my night stand feeling for the alarm clock, all it was doing was bringing on a migrane. Sigh. I had to get up and get ready for another boring day at school. I jumped out of my bed and walked into the bathroom. Brushing my teeth I thought about what today might hold and what I could get accomplished after school. When I was ready I went doown stairs and greeted my family at the table for breakfast.

"Morning Mom, Dad, you" I said glaring at my brother.

"You know El one day you're going to need me and I wont be around" He said

"And I'm going to regret it right?" I retorted not so cheerfully

"Won't you to cut it out and eat your waffles? I'm serious you guys have got to learn to get along." Mom cried. She always lectures me and my brother Douglas about how she and her sister were the best of friends and never ever got into arguments. Right.

No one said anything, if theres one thing we agree not replying back to mom unless you feel like sitting through a movie long lecture.

"Bye guys, if I don't go now I will be late for school" Giving mom and and dad a kiss on the cheek

"Bye hunn, and don't be late for dinner." They shouted in unison

I walked outside just in time to see my bestfriend Simon walking up my yard. Simon and I have prtty much known each other our whole lives and theres not a secret that we keep from each other. We live directly next door to one another so that should tell you just how frequently we spend time at one anothers house. Simons mom Debra is the baking queen, she can whip up anything you want in a matter of minutes. I love her she is one of the coolest adults I know.

"Hey cutie"

"Hey Simon" I smiled "You ready to go?" I started walk and he ran up to meet me.

"So what do you want to do today after school?

I thought about this. "Hey Simon, what do you say we skip school today?"

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah I'm serious, I'm not really feeling the whole school thing today."

"Yes, lets do it."

"How about we go to the carnival?" I shrugged. It couldn' hurt.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The carinval was awesome so far. We played basketball, ping pong ball, water gun and fishing. Simon even won me a stuffed animal it was a huge brown bulldog, I didn't realize how good he had gotten at basketball. It was getting a little late and would soon be time to head back home. We headed over to one of the food stands.

"Hi can I have a small cotton candy, two slices of pizza and two candy apples please."

"Woah woah slow down there tiger, did I really deprive you of food that bad?" He said with a smirk

"Yeah whatever loser and besides the cotton candy's for later and one of the candy apples are for Doug." I retorted

"Here you go ma'am." I told her thank you while I passed her my tickets.

"Hi can I have one..." Simon was cut off by a growl and an explosion of glass.

I looked at Simon and he was distracted by what had just happened.

"El! Whatever you do don't move and stay behind me." Was he serious? Did Simon really think that glass would hurt me?

"Um Simon I think that you've..." I was immediatly cut off by a blood shaking growl. A huge wolf like creature creature emerge. It was a little bigger than the wolf in my dream. It stood about chest height, it had muscular legs and a cool blue coat that almost appeared white. It moved and walk so gracefully over the glass and unlike the wolf in my dream this one looked mean and angry. It snarled towards me and Simon. At this point everyone in the carnival had left and throughout the chaos I found myself wondering Simon and I hadn't left. I looked back at Simon.

"Simon, what do we do?" I was terrified, I had silently listed off my will.

"We do nothing." My brows wrinkled in confusion. Did Simon not see the thing that stood before his eyes? Did he not realive that this wolf who now stood still was previously coming towards us?

The wolf let out a loud cry and before I could get another glance he lept, right towards us.
