At School:

"Hey guys," Astrid said as she walked towards her friends.

"Hey," Kim said.

"Is this a miracle?" Katelyn asked.

"What?" Kim and Astrid asked.

"For once you're on time for school!"

"Hahaha," Astrid answered.

"It is true," Desmond said.

"How?" Astrid asked.

"You are usually late to school," Kim added.

"True," Astrid responded.

"Mhmmmm," Katelyn said.

"Anyway, Astrid we should get going." Desmond said. "I don't know if you remember, but our advisory is pretty far."

"Yea, I know," Astrid said with a sigh.

When Astrid walked into the classroom, she saw someone she didn't expect to see.

"Josh," she whispered.

"Who?" Desmond asked.

"The kid standing near the window."

"Is he new?"

"Yea, he came in yesterday in the middle of the day."

"Hmmmmm," Desmond said.

"What?"

"Judging by the fact that you are holding a folded paper with his name, I'd say you have been spying."

"How many times do I have to explain it," Astrid said. "I don't consider it spying. It is simply
undercover detective work."

"Yea, that's the same thing as spying."

"Shut up," Astrid said.

"Whoa, Astrid. Hold your horses." Desmond said. "Are you sure your ok? This is not like you. To be honest this is more like Katelyn."

"Sigh, I know. And yes I am perfectly fine."

"Mhm mm mm, chu don't look fine to me."

"Huh? Since when do you say "chu"??" Astrid asked.

"Since now. Hey are you trying to change the subject?"

"What?? No oo oo . . ."

"Mhm mm mm, come on lets sit down, yea."

"Alright," Astrid answered with a sigh.

Desmond and Astrid walked towards an open table. Once they sat down, Josh walked over.

"Hey Astrid," Josh said. "Who's your friend?"

"Hey Josh. This is my friend Desmond."

Josh stretched out his hand towards Desmond. Desmond shook hands with Josh.

"So you're Josh?" Desmond asked.

"Mhmmmm. And your Desmond?"

"Yup."

"So . . . Are you and Astrid a thing??" Josh asked Desmond.

Astrid over heard.
